could one create energy?
not just transform energy from one form to another, could one actually create something you could define as energy? if you light a fire, you only transfer the motion from movement to a spark to,.. and you get fire. I'm do not where I'm going, but I'm on my way? hehe
i been thinking lot about Light lately, light is something right? and when you imagine a apple, you can see it? and therefore it must be lit? cause all you ever really see is light? hence you could create light by imagining it? thus get something from nothing? the concept of "energy" can seem much wider than life it self at times :P

Are you equating the begginings of energy with imagination relative to creation and manifestation?

No... you can't create energy like that.


When you imagine an apple in your "mind's eye", obviously it is lit. Not by light. The image you're seeing is a rememberance or a conglomate of rememberances of what an "apple" is.

While that's happening there's all sorts of electrical bzzts and chemical booms going off across the cells in your brain. Energy being used to create a memory/imagining of an apple.

That kicked ass mush. You just reminded me of a post I was going to do on energy and memory. I was trippen on it last night and now I forgot what the insight was. LOL How funny, I need my memory to remember what I wanted to say about memory, dammit.

excellent thought stream picking up here!

I mostly equate energy with memory which is why i was curious if gomp was equating it with imagination and why he was.

See, I am now wondering if imagination, might be some form of repressed "forgotten" memory realted to simulatenous time experiences?

When our memory goes to shit, is it s sign we are low on life force energy? look at how old people near death get alshiemers or how when you are tired you can't remember stuff as well.

More then that, I want to explore a possible link between memory and imagination.

What do you have on it gomp? Anyone for that matter? I don't care, run with wild theories for the sake of food for thought. Maybe new insights and understandings will sprout.

well thoughts are energy, and we apparently can create thoughts. When those thoughts carry enough energy they can condensce into matter.

Thought energy and matter are all different vibrational levels of light...

I would say energy is only transmutable from one type to annother for now, that in our current state, we can't find a way to make or break it.  We can only change it.

It takes energy to make thought, immagination, memory, emotions mental states and whatever else I have forgotten; thus all of the outputs I listed are a type of energy.  This makes it clear that consciousness is a form of energy.

This astounds me, I never though of it like this, Thankyou Gomp. :smile:

This understanding can help us some day understand life/death, telekinesis, telepathy, etc.  It will certainly help me on my quest, at least.  I hope this leads to a great discussion.

Sub note:
(Your imagination is basically your facility for construction of mental imputs and outputs sometimes creating never before seen or created things.  That's a really crappy explanation, but it is a hard faculty to describe since it comes up with things that can defy logic (Piccasso's paintings).  It takes enery to fun this part of the mind and thus what it brings about is energy also.)

I've been thinking about energy a lot since I took my first Tantra class one year ago.

Prior to my experiences during (and after!) that class, I had seen energy as a simple thing...inactive (i.e. oil, food, coal, wood) with the potential to be transformed into active energy through consumption.

I first began to sense that energy was far more complex and mysterious when I was taught to send and receive energy from/to specific chakra centers.  Nothing was being consumed, nothing was lost, and this energy well seemed bottomless and topless!

Now I believe that our energy potential is limited only by our perceived capacity.  When I saw myself as a consumer, transforming my sandwiches into physical energy and waste, that was all the energy I received.  As I expand my perception, my capacity increased.

I have become capable of "channeling" massive surges of spiritual energy through my body, and continue to gradually build my tolerance as a conductor!

Well if energy cannot be destroyed. May it be our lack of energy is lack of flow, or blocking energy channels.

In accupuncture the energy channels have little transformers or switches along the line. If blocked energy stagnates, cannot move, and causes illness. Opening the channels flow increases and balances energy increasing aliveness. :heart:

Thanks for reviving this thread ! (I was off the beloved shroomery for half a year and have so less time :flowers: )

Look closer to that 'energy' ! Totally complex and self-organized...
Alone the frequency-spectrum is astonishing then look into the intercorrelations. My mind is blowing away analyzing this. Look at the tiny spectrum-field an 'organizm' of this 'field' can 'use' and look what this produces !
Look how the different energy-levels are interpreted by us humans. Look in which levels we 'interfere' with which 'stages of ourselves'...

Everything is just pure plain energy ! We are only one of many 'filters' with the advantage of 'working' on many 'levels' at the same time and getting this to 'reasonable' patterns...

No. The energy you use to "create" an apple in your mind comes from the breakdown of glucose through a very complicated chemical process. I know, I'm a spoilsport.... :biggrin:
