I post in threads offering contrasting opinions to what's going on if my own opinion differs, and instead of getting a slew of angry responses or productive arguements, the thread dies and disappears as soon as I've posted.

tis ok ferago, I know what you mean, lots of times I've posted thread which I thought were good and they died very quickly as well.  it doesn't mean anything is bad, just sometimes people don't know what to say, or can't add anything.  just keep going, and press on.

Just keep sharing ideas man because even though many of us may not respond, many do read, and we appreciate your point of view.

We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

I've killed a few threads in my time- it's no big deal. Sometimes it's even a good thing. Like when your argument is so good no one can find fault with it.

Don't take it seriously, just look upon your posts as playtime for your soul. Let yourself go and likeminded individuals will read and appreciate your writings, even if they don't respond. There are always more lurkers than responders in any given thread, and there are probably many people who lurk here exclusively for any number of reasons.

If it really means a lot to you, there are ways to get more responses. You can address people by their name (most of them love that), use vivid language (not  :pottymouth: ), and never ever be boring!!

Maybe some others also have some suggestions for you on how to get responses..

Same here.. it happens a lot less these days. The longer you are here, the less it happens.. the more people that get to know you, the more likely they are to respond to your posts, from what I find.

I don't know how you personally feel, Mixomatosis, but you made yourself look like your "Idiots with really poorly thought-out ideas who lack comprehension skills."

This forum has alot of uses in mushroom cultivation and information.

if you read the posts in this forum,you can get hooked(in a god way).its like talking to friends you can't communicate with,and the relationship is better than a mutual one.i mean,i don't have "friends" on here,but theres people i talk to,all the messages i post are open for everyone and its nice to talk about stuff i can't talk to with my "real friends",lol.here is a place for ideas and deep understanding(for and from a few).this forum is wonderful,and so is this anti-swami thread.This can be a never ending thread if we let it.lol.i don't know whats the spirtual part of it though.
