Ive noticed that azurescens will come up regardless of rain due to the dew when it gets to be the right temperature i know in 2024 i got up there mid october and i hadnt rained once yet and they were all over and nobody was picking i had anamazing start of the season.

As for cyanescens the ones in southern oregon ive been finding this year are in shaded areas that get a decent bit of dew when night temps are cold i do think it wont be as crazy of flushes as normal until rain hits though

Bayfront in Warrenton is like that with the dew, I used to always find September cyanescens there before it really rained. I bet that place has a good amount right now. You just gotta get down and really dig deep in certain spots.

Yeah i personally have been weary of bayfront the ladt 2 years i know a few locals that said they saw people walking up and down the road spraying stuff in the grass and since then the fungal biodiversity has gone downhill not just azures pr cyans but every fungi i used to see around there in numbers has tapered off

They’re pouncing out after the second round of torrential rainfall & consistent humidity.

Feels like, similar to the last few years, they are sporing out at somewhat smaller sizes than former generations of giants.. & more so - or as easily prone to - developing that black rot, where excess moisture is introduced or particular to wood debris's specific retention gives the black rot a quick grasp at these small fellas.

Walking to the Rush concert this evening and knew a little spot that was already sprouting and on the way. The timing was perfect to munch a few before the show. Cant beat that deal. Concert was excellent.

Nobody else thinks it was amazingly awesome that someone knew about an early season spot in downtown Seattle and was able to stop by on his way to see a Rush concert?
Who else has ever got to do such a thing? Downtown Seattle, Rush and Cyanescens?

Was thinking the same lol. Man!, having seen them twice, a third time on a decent trip would rule. Happy those 2 are back out playing those songs live for people. And the new drummer is killing it\m/

You're lucky, Baeo City is a bust this year so far. Dry as a bone, hardly a lick of rain this fall; wondering if El Nino and global warming aren't ruining it this season. Found some dried up sulfur tufts, a few slippery jacks, and a couple of penny buns, but no Ammies or psilocybes yet...

Got my first sightings of this season in the experiment bins I left out from last season.

(South Seattle, for climate curious.)

Again, picked in my backyard on central OR coast.

If your spots aren't popping, I'd look for new ones until we get some good days of rain.

Got home late last night from a camping trip, but these are from the coast side of Tillamook county🤙

Looks like I'm the first to find a decent haul on this forum!

Good luck y'all💜

They are definitely out there. Not in the volume I'm used to by this time in the season, but they are fruiting. Picked about 7 grams dry so far this season.

Only spots I've found in Lincoln City are in my backyard, otherwise everything is like two hours north where the marine layer has been prominent.

As far as I'm aware, cave junction is popping, so is the central oregon coast. I bet the WA coast is having some decent action.

Planning a trip to westport/grayland next week🤙

I checked out Bayfront today... for the first time ever...No luck, but I did come across some cyans today in another spot not too far from Bayfront in Warrenton. It's been awfully dry; maybe not quite the right conditions for azzies? I wouldn't be mad if yall dm'd me some tips for out at Bayfront  cheers!!

Only reason I was able to find any is because of irrigation. The rain just doesn't want to start this year.

Seems like November is when they’ll really be kicking off even bigger & more widespread outside of irrigated areas this year.
The humidity is coming in & air pressure feeling some pull on the soil profiles, but we really need those heavy day after day rainfall streaks to get the big & mighty clusters out instead of the small guys occurring only to signify bigger storms ahead of us bringing swarms of species to observe.

Some of the azzies from today. Few and far between but i managed a decent bag full.

That being said alot of areas i pick were not showing pins and only 4 spots i pick had mature fruits and it was very "spore"adic. Lol
