Sweet, nice find. I'm heading out tomorrow for the first scan of Baeo City this year. Last few years have been kind of a bust but I know it can sometimes go in cycles, or maybe I just need to expand my search parameters ... :nerd:

Back on this forum after almost 9 years! I guess the cyans are calling my name this year… at least enough to actually hunt for them… could really use a reset before going into the new year. Ready again for a mushy trip, which from my experience, is so much better when you actually harvest them yourself. Happy hunting everyone! Hoping some of y’all find some insane wild patches this year, good luck! 🍄🍄‍🟫

Seeing posts on both reddit and here i had to go check my local patches to see if i would get lucky sure enough got some early season luck.

Glad to be on the board

Southern oregon.

Temperatures are still way high and im lucky i found some in a microclimate today.

Looks like its gonna be the only spot fruiting for the next few weeks unless we somehow get rain / cool weather.

Also found a patch where all the caps were devoured by slugs and the ones that werent were stunted from weather but i didnt feel like uploading a pic of that.

that's awesome you found any in so. or. regardless of condition

that must be like... somewhat coastal or something, right?

welcome to shroomery, need help cloning one or putting spores to agar?  I've never tried 'hunting' for them down in so. or., except in my garden these days

Found these yesterday after a long while of searching. Definitely weren’t in a microclimate, quite the opposite. I take that to mean they are finally really getting going.

Near the Columbia river mouth(south side)

Getting scared over in seattle, its barely rained AT ALL in the last 3 weeks and when it does its followed by a week of dry spell. Checked on the patch i found laat year that i named the "god patch" as it was about a pound of dry cyans over the course of 2 and a half months straight of constantly fruiting enormous healthy cyans, all clustered up into a 10x10 foot bush/spiky brambles. It appears that the city has removed said bush, but replenished the wood chips! Im hoping the myc is still under doing its thing getting ready to fruit some healthy cyans, but the bush created the perfect soft microclimate for them! We shall see if they come back at all, they could possibly extend beyond the perimeter that the bush was sitting in with enough luck! The woodchip bed is much larger than the area the cyans chose to stay confined too, so im hoping the agressive myc tears it all up and spreads beyond the old perimeter! Good luck yall!

Well they’re out there alright, dry as it is. Kinda surprising really.
Tomorrow I’ll checkout the spot where I got the azurescens pic in my signature. It’s been spreading out significantly each year since it started. I’m so fucking excited to see what this year is gonna look like because I’m no longer living an 8 hour drive away from it anymore.

Ive noticed that azurescens will come up regardless of rain due to the dew when it gets to be the right temperature i know in 2024 i got up there mid october and i hadnt rained once yet and they were all over and nobody was picking i had anamazing start of the season.

As for cyanescens the ones in southern oregon ive been finding this year are in shaded areas that get a decent bit of dew when night temps are cold i do think it wont be as crazy of flushes as normal until rain hits though

Walking to the Rush concert this evening and knew a little spot that was already sprouting and on the way. The timing was perfect to munch a few before the show. Cant beat that deal. Concert was excellent.

Anyone else finding specimen yet? I'm heading between Rockaway Beach-Cannon Beach tomorrow.

I'm sure I'll fill my basket and make sure to report back:dancingbear:

I’m in cannon beach, haven’t found anything here yet. Just found some a little further north in a well known state park so far.

Bayfront in Warrenton is like that with the dew, I used to always find September cyanescens there before it really rained. I bet that place has a good amount right now. You just gotta get down and really dig deep in certain spots.
