Hello kind folk, First post!  Was drawn into the hobby a few months ago,  found a bunch of questionable advice online. Made a few mistakes but got a decent first harvest and had a blast doing it. Stumbled onto this forum a while back and have been lurking around taking it all in. 

I keep meaning to jump in with a question or two but every time I have one a quick search pulls up literally hundreds of well thought out responses.  Hopefully Iโ€™ll have something to add to the lexicon of the shroomery at some point in the near future. In the mean time Iโ€™m loving reading, observing and learning from this amazing community.

Thanks for the link! The guide is one of the first things I found. Iโ€™ve read it 3-4 times, makes good reading while youโ€™re lurking in the bushes. Incredibly helpful. Convinced me to get into agar.

Broooo lmfao that was my first attempt lol I made 10 batches of grains wayyyy back n nocd em all n all of em colonized n I didnt know what I was doing kinda n was to busy so I used only 1 of em at the time...

I botched field capacity and it was to wet... Failed n got salty n reran it immediately got field capacity.... Then I introduced fae before the tub was colonized and also learned not to leave exposed grains on the surface and that my spawn wasn't probably completely clean... As it also failed this time though it died on the dry end...

Ran it back this time mixing grains more thoroughly n adjusted my mix rate to close to 1 part spawn 4 parts sub with about a bowl however tf much that is of sub put off to the side to top it off guarinteeing no grains on surface... That time I got pins after litfa for some weeks as it didn't mold out like the others or get dry.

n managed to send all the other grains I prepped n got all of em to at least second flush :evil: and so began my journey into learning the basics ๐Ÿ’€

Then we got legends like kloakk n phat n phenodreamers who could probably get a fruit off a single grain if they wanted :dealwithwhat:
