I have a little growing experience. I have grown 48 pf style cakes losing 2 of 50 to contam despite my hepa filtered closet space. I am considering buying a hydrapod. I was wondering 1.) What kind of dry wieght i can expect from seven 1/2 pint PF style BRF/vermiculite cakes of golden teachers or treasure coast? 2.) About the smaller pod,,, the economy model, does it fit seven 1/2 pint cakes? 3.) I will be growing covertly in the house i rent with 2 housemates, if i have a pod running in my closet, will there be any noise? do they humm or buzz or anything? If there are any pod owners with experience, I would appreciate any dry wieght info or comments about how you like/dislike the product. Jon_Doe_365

hi..Jon I have a hyrda-pod......I like it very much. The best part about having one is ....not having to do much. The pod pretty much does everything for you. I can't tell you what to expect for yeild off the strains you mentioned. Cause i haven't tried those in the pod. I can tell you that Cambodians, Gulf Coast do very well. My Puerto Ricans....I'm not sure about......still testing those. My yeild from the Cambodians were over 6 dry grams each cake...maybe more. Which is alot for a cake. If you go to the picture forum and look around you can view several hydra-pod grow logs....with pictures and all. I do not work for myco-tek and I am not associated with them in any way. I'm just a happy customer.:)

I bought the advanced Pod and it arrived 8 days ago has been running exactly one week. As far as noise goes the only sound I hear is water running from the top basket down to the reservoir. My daughter can hear the sound from outside our room and asked what that sound was, so I know she can hear it. I filled the lower bucket to exactly 1" below the hole as instructed. I assume I have the newest model. The sound is much like a waterfall, very soothing. Good job Mycotek_Service on a great product! It is obvious that allot of thought and R&D went into it. Like Roadkill I am in no way employed by or connected to Myco-Tek.

Thanks for the info. I can get around the waterfall sound by moving my fish back into my room, the 10 gallon aquarium has a filter that makes a little noise if I leave 8 gallons in it instead of 10. The humm I'm not worried about, I leave my computer on almost all the time and since I run it without a case (helps cool my overclocked CPU) the fan noise should more than cover for me. 6 dry grams is good news >:] I got 4.2 grams/cake from the 48 I birthed, and I got SOOO tired of fanning and misting 4 times a day. Any other dry gram info from pod users out there is welcome. Please tell me what type(s) of cubensis you used.

I don?t have any dry gram info as I just got my Pod, but South Americans love being just about anywhere. I have 5 strains going in the Pod and they are taking off fast, still waiting on the others. They did that in my terrarium as well.

Thanks Ralph! I have too many strains going right now...lolz Thank you for the offer though. He knew I'd show up....lolz Reason being : I have a pod too. I got my pod from a guy that used it for one grow cycle. It looked like it was brand new when I got it. He sold it to me for $100.00 including shipping. It was a great deal. Myco-tek found out that I bought the pod.....and offered me all the support of an original pod buyer. He has given me great service....and he didn't have to.... in my opionon. It was like buying a used car to me.... as is.... I didn't expect nothing. He replaces any parts that go bad.... not to many business's can do that... or would. He sent me a replacement airstone....cause the original was found to be defective. Company that made them was at fault.....not myco-tek....btw. What more could you want....this guy stands behind his product. I love my pod.....It sits right next to my computer so I can watch my little guys grow. It's been a great addition to my hobby.... It is very low maintance. I can honestly say that it payed for itself with my very first flush. I am not employed or work for myco-tek in any way. I'm just a very happy customer. I feel like I just did a Info commercial....lolzz
