That'll be weird being apart, I am with my SO 24/7 practically so I can empathise there- but still you're right to put the week to good use!
Happy cultivation to you.
:mypleasure:
:hellyeah:

Simple evening here: play with cats, vape bongs, make grub, watch horror flicks.

Freddy vs Jason and the french spider flick "Infested" last night. Not fully sure what tonight... Maybe "green inferno" and "serpent and the rainbow" get exotic with it.

I forgot how much Freddy says "Bitch" in FVJ, and about the film in general. Amazing watch with some fullon loony tunes shit going on throughout.

But we're saving the primo primo films for week leading up to Halloween.

Itโ€™s the vibes! When youโ€™re best friends with the love of your life itโ€™s just so wonderful and sappy and great  glad you understand lol

Itโ€™ll be a productive week and Iโ€™m looking forward to taking lots of adderall and making WAVES but I also miss my bug

Oh man that sounds like a great time! Vape bong do you have a dry herb vape or dab rig? Give the kitties my greetings

Confession: Iโ€™ve never seen a Freddy or Jason movie

That sounds silly though, maybe this is the year to check them out. Any suggestions of which movie to start with I know thereโ€™s a grip, Iโ€™m a horror flick noob

oh man, I'm sorry to hear about the health stuff, I'm very familiar with the struggles of chronic illness and whatnot with myself and also as a caretaker, if you ever need to vent about shit I got you man. Being ill can be so isolating sometimes

super glad todays been a bit of respite from it though, I hope it continues in that direction for you  and goodluck on the life maintenance jazz, its one of those days.

I'm setting out to email every lawyer in my area that could potentially take my case, I have a real issue with anxiety and self-sabotage and in the month since I was fired I only reached out to 3 firms and got mad discouraged, gotta turn that around ASAPARONNI

Good afternoon, everyone! :hi:

I don't know if this tech debate has anything to do with the fucking app โ€” I hope not, maybe it does, I don't know.

To me, this is very simple... Do you think it's necessary to be an industrial draftsman drawing with a ruling pen nowadays? To manually mix huge amounts of cement in a ditch when concrete mixers exist? To till hectares of land by hand? To bake ceramics every time you need a container?

Can it be done? Yes. Does it make sense? Only in very specific cases. In general? NO.

And I'm the first romantic when it comes to manual labor. I honor what is handcrafted and basic. Up until this year, I spent 10 years as a nomadic backpacker. I don't even have a driver's license, I reject cars, I sleep on the floor on a sleeping pad thin as rolling paper, in a tent, hiking >20 km a day with steep elevation gains every August, mostly barefoot, I train outdoors, work outdoors (yes, winters included), and I prefer candles over lightbulbs.

And yes โ€” I've mixed concrete in ditches, made my own tools, and washed clothes by hand. The first trade I studied was auto mechanics, and after a year I switched to artisan bookbinding (magnificent). Then I changed countries. But yes โ€” I am a specific case.

And yes โ€” I like it when there's a washing machine, when there's a concrete mixer, when there's a fridge, and when my girlfriend tells me โ€” it would be cool to have an app to draw "exquisite corpses" โ€” and 30 minutes later I see her happily drawing her "exquisite corpses". Yes, I like the fucking "vibe coding".

And those of you affected professionally โ€” you'll have to reinvent yourselves. Just like graphic designers, personal trainers, and so many other trades. Does it suck? Yes, but it is what it is.

And as I said, I didn't even plan on sharing the app โ€” but I find it useful โ€” and that's all that matters to me. Whether it was written by an AI, a guy in front of his computer, a co-working group, or the neighbor's dog. I don't care โ€” it works for me. And I didn't have to spend X hours staring at code.

And another thing โ€” the term "Artificial Intelligence" isn't accurate. "Collective Intelligence" would be more appropriate. We all fed it; we all have the right to use it.

That being said. I still sleep on the floor, I don't like mattresses. But you, you're not me โ€” sleep comfortably.

I hope I didn't offend anyone, truly. You are my most human humans!

Bel I love your app and my distaste for AI has no bearing on my opinion of you, I understand why people use it, I was a huge advocate for the uses of AI on this very board 2 years ago when I was using it as a translator to get in touch with the fella behind Miraculix. I think personally a while ago I happened to look up and catch some writing on the wall that has spooked me out of it. No judgement though, its a nuanced topic, I understand the potential for many perspectives.

I don't think anyones debating here, a potential vibe coding thread was met with the offer to share some wisdoms. positive stuff, no worries

Nonsense!
So this one time Jason got cryogenically frozen for 2000 years so that he could be defrosted in space that way we'd finally have the technology to understand what makes him so strong.

Took him about five seconds before he found the surgical equivalent of a machete and went to work.
You would think that catastrophic decompression would be enough to kill him; but let me tell youโ€ฆ

You could hardly call it horror as much as just gore, but I found the Saw series fantastic.

We almost got the good version of Freddie versus Jason that was directed by Rob Zombie.

The first one really was in a league of its own but admittedly I liked all of them.

:hereyougo:

@nuds
I enjoyed many of the Saw films at one time or another.
'Green inferno' is definitely more of a gore movie in most ways. Movies that're gory for no reason aren't my bag any more, but theres something really great & fun about 'green inferno' which I would reccomend.

@GC
I would have watched the fuck out of a rob zombie FVJ!

Can't do gore. Once youve experienced it first hand its hard to enjoy.  I tend to stay indoors on Halloween for that reason. I certainly dont yuck anyone else's yum on it. I know its all in good fun I just have to separate myself from it.

I do enjoy carving pumpkins and giving candy to the trick or treaters and eating a shit ton of it myself but I might have to chill on that this year. Ive really got to be better to my bod.

Understandable man.

Yeah since I got my teeth on track I barely touch the sweets but goddamn there are some good snacks on the shelves RN.....

Have you ever seen "The Frighteners" with Michael J Fox, @Beef?

:edit: of course, anyone else too. Frightners is a comedy/horror & one of my top films ever. It's amazing, Peter Jackson film, great fx, fun storyline.

yes!  I love that movie. I love scary shit in general.

I just watched a movie called "Backrooms" the othe night that totally terrified me in a good way. Reminded me of a bad ketamine hole. Or the time I OD'd on O-PCE.  Endless labyrinth of fluorescent lit hallways and rooms that seem vaguely familiar with furniture and people that seem real but aren't quite right.

There's just some small time YouTube guy who liked making stuff in blender. It's awesome that he got to make an actual in theater movie.
He makes stuff pretty consistently on YouTube still.
