I've checked my rye 15 times so far for signs of life. Day 2 of my first grow..I actually think I see a tiny bit of myc starting.

First time I made grains, I used an exact recipe from here, and they came out waaaaaay over field capacity. As in, runny. Some unknown reason I used 'em anyway, and surprise, the grows failed spectacularly (well, only 1 contammed, but the others just appeared to overlay with only a couple results).

Also, in my rush to get things done in my SAB, I sometimes forget to clear a good space, and I've knocked over stacks of clean unused agar plates, as well as some noc'ed plates, in my clumsiness. Of course many opened as they hadn't been wrapped yet (GRRRR!)

I've learned to take a deep breath, clear the SAB COMPLETELY so there's acres of room to work...and even then I still manage to knock things over sometimes! OK well I'm not THAT clumsy but still it's a bitch working in a small space like that.

Also since we're confessing, my first grow I used a pre-made grain bag and noc'ed it with MSS syringe.

To date, it's the only thing that has produced anything worthwhile, strangely, no contams. Still working on the whole process.

Also I stabbed myself with a syringe needle lol. Fortunately it only required amputating my right hand.

I hate to break it to you. But you gotta forget about that for like a week and if you see something growing on the second day it is definitely not what you want.

That's all part of the game though.

We just heard that my Wife's mom's best friend's mother was killed in a hit and run in our hometown.

She was 80.

I didn't know her that well, but I met her a few times. She was always very nice. She read my Tarrot cards about 15 years ago and was a big muckity-muck in the Witch circle.

It's just sad how people can be so self-serving.

Not really a confession, more of a vent. 

My insurance made me switch from a biologic to a biosimilar, and I think my body is developing antibodies to it.  Same active ingredient, but one is manufactured from mouse cells and the other comes from hamsters.  If I develop antibodies to the new med, it will probably cause my body to reject the old med if I switch back to it.  As it stands, I feel sick.  Nauseated, chilled, like my guts are filled with wet concrete.  Kind of reminds me of when I was having an allergic reaction to a different med.  And of course, to top it all off, my GI clinic is shutdown for 2 months :smbfacepalm:

Are you taking bios for skin problems? Like Psoriasis?  Or some other autoimmune? Just curious

Man I hate insurance and our health care system generally. Something works great for you, but someone needs to save a buck for their quarterly earnings and pass it onto the people who don't want to be experimented on.

Hope it works out or you can appeal your way back to the right treatment

House is 90% clean. Gonna wrap up the rest of it while I wait for the jello to set. This time I made with 18g ochra and a sprinkle of TTBVI.

Man, I really feel for you. My wife has a severe form of UC and was on Entyvio, which was working really well for a number of years until her insurance made her switch. Fast forward a couple months and she’s back in the hospital for a couple weeks getting blood transfusions and the whole deal. Insurance finally agreed to put her back on the Entyvio, but it never worked again.

Biologic therapy for sever autoimmune issues is such a frustrating ordeal, and my heart goes out to you. Finding one that will actually work and then living in fear of the day it stops. Terrible stuff.

Crohn’s disease, diagnosed over a decade ago.  Had allergic reactions to several meds, and finally found one that put me into full remission before I was forced to switch.

I’ve decided to go to the walk in tomorrow, looked into it a bit and seems like it could be a drug induced pneumonia as well, that would explain the rapid deterioration in the week following the last injection.

This exactly.  I’m about ready to give up on the medical system and treat myself with herbs from the yard, plantains and chaga and whatnot. I’ve been radicalized by dandelions.

Confession tax:  I have not even had the energy to pour more plates.  My last two grow bags, a reishi and a pio, were total failures. I have two zapo jars that have been waiting ever so patiently to be spawned for months, they were the ones I was most excited for but right now they are the lowest priority. :feelsbadman:

😎 decided to do more caerulescens than my previous record 🥳 I consider this fungi to be very recreational at lower doses though 🫡

Before I decided to to dat I made t2 transfer from kamodoxbvi (sus super speed) lmao that might stick if it continues to look the same n ends up fungi n not mold 😅

I also made a t1 transfer from one of the lovi projects ape types ( got name documented though I'm to lazy to look/high 😊

And all 3 plates of ochras t1 I did look clean enough to send to grains same with the t1 kamodoxbvi tho I made another transfer because why TF not of the kamodoxbvi(sss)

Eventually il get a camera when I can afford.

I've got atl7 clean AF t2 growing nice n steady

Made a t1 transfer  of Portland oregon pan cyans

Im embarrassed though I did drop the t1 plate of kamodoxbvi during transfer the transfer was clean aside from a potential eddy from the dropping of plate.

The plate is fully colonized so should be contam resistant enough to let it sit colonized like that n I can cleanup if needed as a backup backup secured for kamodoxbvi ((sss) if it isn't MOOoooOOoOoold)



Can't wait for my pressure cooker so I can begin with my nopours 🤤

We have easily spent 24 hrs in line / prepark for the Boom camping, and once 24 hrs to enter Ozora camping too. It happens.

Often after 1500-2000 km of road travel.

I truly believe long and arduous journeys enhance the experience that follows. It helps you unwind, 'unlive your former life', and allows to truly enter a different dimension. Not having a device helps a lot, too

Oh man glad you had a good time! Those festival entry lines can be ass but 6 hours honestly doesn’t seem so crazy for how huge lost lands is

I really want to go next year, I was bummed to miss this year one of my old gaming buddies made his lost lands debut with his track Mr Snazzy and I’m so proud of him, wanted to see it in person but also not so sad to miss out on the flooding :yesnod:

It's pretty good but for tripping I'd rate it as 0/10 because of the violence.
My pick for tripping would be something like Suzume no Tojimari. Absolutely beautiful.
