Contam or dry?
    #29660656 -

Popped the lid off to see this today, not excited.
Yesterday all of the tan/orange was gray which made me worried enough to mist some h2o2 in the hopes everything would be okay
I no longer think things will be okay

I've heard PE is finiky to grow but everything was going perfect until now
(dont judge my lazy box, it worked just fine with GTs in my golden days)

The plan is to treat it like it is ready to pin and grow and whatever I lose, I lose. If there is a way to take a sample and share of the brown patches I will gladly do so.

Cheers to my first post, I hope this will be the worst one
Lets hope I assumed how to use the image posting thing right

Looks dry. Lots of knots but the pinning surface dried out and it looks dead to me. Maybe a dunk and flip could help.

Does a dunk and flip mean fill the tub with cold tap water, empty, and flip the cake? Four weeks in but I see no myc on the side walls except the grain. (layered rye and coir, not mixed) unsure if it would even be able to withstand that amount of movement.

You want to fill the tub with room temp water, then put something on top of the cake to hold it down and submerge the cake for 4 hours, then drain the water and flip the cake upside down and let the new surface colonize

What sort of tub are you running, unmodified?

As unmodified as it gets
Still hesitant on how the sub will hold up after flipping if it even does at all

If your hesitant,  then try dunking it and then apply a casing layer

I have three tubs in similar conditions so I am going to try to flip one and pray it does not crumble.
If she crumbles, then I guess I know an alternative haha thanks brother
