i didn't search for this so don't berate me for old ideas but here it is. i did search this but it only related to storing dry ice is pure co2 and sublimes to 100 times its liquid vol. this would be good for producing clean air as it fills up its contanier and push out all the maybe contamed air. the immediate application i see may be for glove boxes. obvious draw backs would be that you might not be able to see what your working with due to the fog but maybe you could use a small amount of dry ice in the corner producing enough co2 to push out the rest of the air while still being able to see. or you could invert another clear container in the box until the boxed filled with clean co2 then flip it over and look through it over your work area in the box with the dry ice still going in the rest of the box so the fog will be limited to the area around your smaller container under which you could do transfers or what ever. this might seem extreme cuz enough effort to get the dry ice and do every thing you need before it evaporates might be more than the effort of a more proffesional set up but i have seen crazier ideas here at the shroomery. i just wanted to throw this out there and see what ya'll think and what applications you might be able to apply this to.

Why not save yourself the trouble of having to use dry ice when you could invest in a CO2 cylinder from a welding supplier? I know dry ice would be cheaper, but at least with the CO2 tank and a regulator you will not get fog in your work area. Just an idea.

I have a better idea!
Spray the glove box down with Lysol, put your stuff in and close the box!
Works every time and you don't have to run out to get dry ice each time you want to use the box 'cause Lysol doesn't evaporate!
