Suffering from success, I know :lol: I’m always happy to see a full flush but it’s a chore to harvest em when they come out like that

I mean you want big fruits...for the pics! But still, that's pretty freaking sick, dude.

Sup guys any idea why the tray on the left got a lot more overlay? Its in a dreamer setup




They are both the same genetic and also the same exact substrate ratio and recipe.

All it takes is a different cut on a plate for it to grow slightly different 🙏 fungi is awesome lol

Or the airflow is bad on the left? The fans are much lower they arent near the top of the trays

I am also testing two different style for my dreamer. They are both the same size 105 qt and two fans each for more even air flow in a big tub. All 4 trays have the same ttbvi genetic and the same substrate recipe with 1/3 ratio. I also have a few jars top fruiting with spawn that didnt look perfect. 

The fans are currently on a 2 minutes on 1 minute off timer because both working constantly seem to dry the casing at some spots. I will reduce airflow even more with the timer if it seems to dry again.

Im also running the RH very high right now, about 85-98% RH cycles.



This one have the trays higher up and the fans are much lower than the lip of the trays to move the air under the trays with a heat pad there.



That one have the fans slightly above the lip of the trays to try to move the air at the surface of the trays more.

Which tub would you bet on?
Its my first time using them both.

I'm really exited to get my first pins of pans(TTBVI).  They're in 2" deep food storage trays with 3 small holes covered with micropore tape in the unsnapped lid.  Seems like a good micro climate because the lid is covered with water droplets.  The shelf they're sitting on has a grow light mounted to the bottom of it so they stay at a constant 89 degrees however, the ambient humidity is just 69%.  I'm tempted to just LTFA but I really don't want to lose these, it's been an extended period without going on a journey.  I have a tiny bathroom that I have a humidifier in that I can get the humidity up to the 80% range. Looking for suggestions going forward concerning fae and misting. Thanks

Pan Cincts have been on my to do list for some time, had a falling out awhile back thought I had some possible pearls in the making, but it fell through. I hope to see some banded mottlegill shots, LET'S GO Subbs!

I also had a similar issue as mojave with my first pan attempt a couple weeks ago. Amusing but jeeze harvesting was kind of a pain. I spawned at 1:2 ratio with 50:50 manure:coir + I think additional ~4% of total volume worm castings. I had planned on 2% but I ADHD'ed and am pretty sure I added it twice lol. I also packed the trays pretty firmly and it sounds like that is not what most people are doing with pans.

Next time I was going to go closer to 1:3 spawn:sub, 2% worm castings, not pack it down and see where that goes. Does that seem like a reasonable thing to try? Or just stick to one change at a time?

Edit: looked at my notes and I also forgot I used a cvg blend I had already mixed, not straight coir. All the other proportions are correct. Just updating to keep information reliable in such a great thread everyone has going

Agreed, nice flush, nice caps and stipe, don't change a DAMN thing. I can tell you I haven't been doing good with lower spawn rates, not horrible, but not what I'm looking for either.  I went back to a bit higher, we shall see, but yeah, LITFO comes to mind right away.

Im having a hard time dialing my dreamer. The surface keeps drying out with the same fans as mr dreamer running on lowest setting 3 minutes on and 3 minutes off (because i have two fans) and the rh is very high like 90-98% range.

Ive changed the timer now to 3 minutes on 6 minutes off hope that will work. I have to manually mist now the casing surface dont want to bead anymore :frown:

Anything else I should try?

Also question for tree frog. You run your fogger on a cycle timer instead of relying on the rh. Im curious Whats the rh readings in your dreamer doing it that way? It must reach 100% rh right after a fogging cycle?

And how do you run the fans doing it that way?

I don’t run a dreamer but that shouldn’t matter when you’re talking conditions for pans.  30 mins of fan intake per hour (plus the fogger air) on any tub is way overkill, ime.  For reference, I run my bubber on my jcm for 1 min every 20 mins and the box fan blows on the tub from 5’ away for 3 mins every 2 hours

My ziplocks have no bubbler or fogger and just the same fan schedule as the tub and they do fine.  Granted, there are fae holes in both that allows some passive exchange but you’re running way too much air even at every 6 mins.  They don’t really need it. 

Tub fruits on that schedule..
