Liberty caps on the way in Norway * 3
    #29637087 -

This is a bit of cheating actually, but worth sharing here anyway. Yes they are early Psilocybe Semilanceata. But they're cultivated, one of my clones from last year. Planted the grain spawn out in nature in late April and now they're coming. This was 3 days ago and due to the rain the photo got terrible. Going back there in a couple of days to hopefully get some better ones as I saw lots of pins popping that I hope will look fine.

Can you please share your process?? I am fairly certain that growing these is rare and not only am I curious myself, I think the community would benefit greatly from sharing this knowledge.

Very cool to see! I wreckon it'll be an early season this year.

Went back to the spot yesterday and found a few more;

I let them all be there to drop spores and hopefully spread. It will be interesting to see if they reproduce here and come back next year.

The material I planted there was really left over from indoor experiments, as I had too much of it. The substrate was infused sawdust from a cloned culture. Just grains with mycelium that was later put in a tub with sawdust to grow through. A few months later when fully colonized it was planted out in nature.

I was thinking the opposite seeing as most of the country is in drought conditions, even Wales :eek:

Right here in the 'thickest' part of middle England, N.Buck's, our season usually starts late Sep - mid October.
We're in the 'arid belt' stretching from East Anglia.

Op. I will look out for your Lib cultivation tips. Maybe you could link it here?

Up here in Scotland it's been raining every day for the last week, and will continue to do so for another week and a bit at least. Night temps are as low as 8-12C, the humidity is consistently above 80%, and the pressure has been dropping gradually over the last week now.

Maybe it's just us, but we'll probably get the real start of the season in August! The first few are already about most likely.
