Do you know the comedian Maria bamford?

She's pretty funny. Lots of good material on ocd and anxiety and other mental health issues. Takin from her own experience.

gil i really liked your tick story.  Fine bit of writing that. 

Most recent big pain for me, i was drilling through a concrete wall with a hammmer drill and it caught rebar and twisted me wrist.  I heard something snap. Its been almost two months ans it still aint right.  Should have gone doctor but im presently uninsured.

Heh... thanks guys! :grin: For your entertainment! It was fun laying that weird filter over the true story.

The true story is this. I really did have a tick in my side that had to be removed. It did disintegrate and the head was embedded deep. She was digging at it hard. I could hear the tweezers snapping as she was grasping at the tick head. The snapping was her pulling at my flesh and the tweezers slipping off whatever tissue she had ahold of. The pain was so great that I did start to pass out. She called a guy in to shine a light on it and he did say something to me. He knew I was in a lot of pain because of the invasive and aggressive way she was going at me with those tweezers. He said, "Man... you're a tough son of a bitch". I had to stop her a couple of times on account of the almost passing out from pain bit. Anyway. That's what really happened. Glad you enjoyed it! It was fun imagining it.

My most recent pain/injury is from a few minutes ago.
Really hot coffee pot falling on me leg and spilled all over the place. My skin has boils right now.
I have washed most of the mess and decided I deserved a break for the pain to settle.
Gone on the org to change my mind and I stumbled on this chat about injury.
I love a good coincidence.
Time to wash the wound/burn and take a painkiller.
Take care with hot liquid is the lesson today.

Real shit.

I have tendon inflammation issues on my dominant wrist and, in trying to avoid flaring it up, have gone and developed them in the other wrist too. Oops.

Then again who the fuck knows how long keyboard based careers have to live. I try not to think about it.
