If it's a box without artificial ventilation, air exchange happens naturally. No species aborts just because you mist it with a sprayer. Those problems are usually caused by the airflow created by artificial ventilation—most mushrooms simply don't like constant moving air.

This grow was done in a simple plastic self made  plastic kind of “ziploc”😃Huge thanks for Tree Frog for straightening out about spores collection from this specie.
A stable air environment seems to be more important than frequent air exchange. I punched small holes around the lower part and the top of the bag, and I misted through one of the holes with a spray bottle. That provided enough fresh air for them, but this method didn't work well for Panaeolus cyanescens.

The two spored species especially are sensitive to air in my experience.  As they often grow in grassy fields or forested areas.

In addition to beneficial microbes, I think that's one of the things that the grass helps with a lot.

Cyanescens on the other hand can be extremely sensitive to bacterial blotch and have more tolerance for air currents, as they grow off piles of dung and have less protection from breezes in nature.  But they're also small and mostly water, so it's a balance between air and bacteria.  They also tend to grow tall and lanky without good air flow, with smaller caps.

So, just saying.  Copelandia is at least five different species, and depending on where we draw the lines, more like ten.

But they can broadly be grouped into grass lovers, leaf litter, and dung lovers.  And the preferences of those groups can vary.

Ms tree frog could I see what fogger you use for your dreamer please?

Also couple question about seed heating pads. Ill have 2 at the bottom of my dreamer (the trays will be elevated with racks)  with an inkbird temp controller.
They should be outside the tub? And how hot do they get, can they melt the plastic do I have to put a towel over them.

I will also add a thin layer of perlite at the bottom of my dreamer and there will be a fan lower to circulate the hot air.

And for the temp controller sensor where is the best spot I should put it. At tray lip level or higher?

Not exactly sure why you quoted me, but without AIR, and a saturated casing to draw surface level humidity from in a passive tub style, they won't get that look I'm after.  Caps get cracked in the wild from high air and do just fine, not sure what you are getting at, or trying to convey.  All good, do what works for you and your environment, we all have to dial in, unless you have a fogger then it's a different ballgame.

Example below of high open air fruits growing in 25% humidity currently, without me drenching the compost pile thoroughly, they would abort very quickly, evaporation at the surface level is much more important in my experience.  If you put yourself in the mushroom's shoes, or think what happens in nature naturally, heavy rains flood the area, it stops raining, surface level evap happens, BOOM... Disco!

I enjoy the outdoor cap scars!

I don't have a traditional dreamer setup.  It's one AC Infiniti warm mist fogger that splits into two tubs.

There is also an aquarium heater in the tub the fogger runs into, but I'm not currently running it because it's Summer here.  Likewise I'm not curtently running warm mist (the fogger has the option for both).

A towel will help the seed mats distribute heat more evenly.  But it shouldn't melt the plastic.  And no I wouldn't put it inside of the tub because it can dry the substrate out too much.

I also have a combination temp/rH sensor, so I put mine closer to the top of the tub.  Also my seed mats are on top of the tub.  When I was running them on the bottom with perlite and no fogger, I put the sensor closer to the bottom so the substrates didn't dry out.  That will also create a lot of humidity by the way, making the need for a fogger much less (unless you want to use it to water casings).

Anyway, for a regular dreamer the small cool mist foggers work well.  And my setup is more than is really needed.  But it does give a lot of options for dialing in a setup as the seasons change.

Thx. My dreamer setup will be slightly different than the regular. It will be  big 105 qt with TWO pc fan. One near substrate height and one near the bottom to circulate the air under the elevated trays for some nice heat and fae distribution all around.

It will have a fogger and I thought about adding a thin layer of perlite to help maintain a more constant humidity and also my fogger has a lot of water droplets that come out of the hose cuz it sux.

Perlite overkill or a fine addition?

Well, I didn't run my perlite setup for very long. It's quite possible algae or something could form on it.

That said, it will catch the droplets from the fogger, and because of its porosity, they'll evaporate well.

It will also act as another way to distribute the heat evenly, if you decide to run seed mats on the bottom.

Hmmm that kinda sux if algae can form on them damn I dont want that I just want a stable environment. Mb I dont need them then If theres a fan that will distribute the heat

Yeah I'm not currently using it in my setup.

I mostly did that over winter because of the porosity, and trying to make a simple heated chamber for when it's cold.

Do you guys think pans grown in monotubs that didnt have their high fae requirement and look a bit unhappy of being there are less potent than awesome happy lookin fruits?

Amount of effort and care and proper understanding of they're requirements and follow through will result in more potent and bigger fruits than neglected low nutrient wrong sugar/to dry neglection (opinion as I don't have proof)

:whathesaid:

And bruising is proof of psilocybin breaking down into psilocin.

It can indicate potency, but it can also indicate that the stability isn't great due to a lot of factors.  Such as higher water content than typical or possibly epigenetic factors in the enzymes.

Would you recommend me the t3 ac infinity? Its much cheaper but doesnt have the warm mist. How precise is the sensor probe on these things?
