I feel bad for anyone who doesnt have a nesco with like 20 extra plates so its about the size or r2d2.

My first shrooms were dried with some wile e coyote shit too.  Fans and racks and nonsense.  It worked i suppose.

This has gotten so crazy.

I say we pool and ship chiron a nesco.

Well, now that the intellectual pissing contest is over with... I'd be interested in seeing more actual tests like ReverendMyc is trying (Not in this thread, of course. It's already derailed into orbit and served its purpose.) Not expecting it to make dehydrators go out of style since they work well enough for people's purposes, but the curiosity is there.

Ok, ok, different question:

What about air-frying shrooms?

Should I use breading or nah?

I mean... someone has deep-fried them before and got a good trip, so why not?

I would truly like it. Right here we don't have Nesco or something.

I live in Brazil. Imagine that the most trash dehydrator from China would cost like 300 dollars. Of course right here we don't use dollars, thus it is 300 reais.

Brazil is so shit that even if you send to me, as Nesco dehydrator cost like 40 dollars and the shipping cost 30-40 dollars, I would have to pay 92% of the value you declared, as Brazil laws say you have to pay 92% of the value in taxes if it surpass 50 dollars.

So yeah, is shit.

I feel bad that rev feels obligated at all to conduct the tests at his own expense.  Im guessing we see a 17% potency loss with temps above a certain mark.

Now..  how the FUCK would i calibrate my dehydrator to the desired temp?  Am i going to ask duc to dissect my nesco and run the heating element through a thermostat? Oh and then calibrate the thermostat with probe? Oh but you also have to calibrate the probe with ice water.

Ffs...

Surprised you guys and gals arent more interested in the subject matter though. Ive been forming some wild ideas and tests people could do. Would do them myself but ive never even seen a fresh mushroom in person. I do have a very high desire to make the most potent tea possible.

To make stronger tea, most folks here will use more mushrooms.

Not trying to be condescending, but this is mush cult.

This is probably one of the big factors here, and for many posts like this about growing, preserving, extracting or whatever.

When you can grow them, and for the first time have more than you know what to do with, and you just went full spartan, hopefully a different understanding takes hold.

@B don't bread mushrooms prior to frying imo.  Because I don't like soggy mushrooms.

well, is not really a big secret. i live in Brazil, and that pretty much answer everything. right here a dehydrator cost 300 reais(the money of Brazil). thus imagine like, spending 300 dollars(US money) on a dehydrator. i don't have much use for a dehydrator, thus i don't want to spend money on one, at least not for now.

Did I miss a message from him somewhere? I thought he started those tests on his own terms before this debacle even happened.

Can he also do banana chips? I'd buy extra bunches just to see that smile in-between grows.

Im still trying to learn if filtered tea is easier on the stomach. With the overall assumption that a more potent mushroom would require less material. Or an extraction method with better results would require less material. Also hoping to do Revs dehydrated tea crystals soon. Im close to buying a dehydrator. Ive got the cosori mini in my cart. I see the jokes about adjusting temps. Does the nesco not allow that or something? I really dont know. One day would like to grow but i live out of a trailer and only home for a few days and then gone again. But i already started watching videos. The monotub looks so easy and im a nut job and would go crazy with getting everything real clean for the injection part. The agar stuff looks fun too. To me all that detail science stuff is entertaining. I made tea tonight mostly to do a test on myself. Trying to see whats up with the cold water extraction and how many hours until i dont feel any effects using a small 0.5g dose. Tonight i waited 2 hours. A couple nights ago did the same test and waited 1.5 hours. Tonight i veered away from the test though. Only gave it 1 hour before making another 0.5g with an emergenC pack and room temp water and slammed the whole thing. Ive changed a little though in that i used to think letting the mixture sit was beneficial to extraction. But now i feel like adding powder shrooms to the liquid is close to an instant extraction. So i only waited 2 minutes and drank it. Came on fast. Still feel it now. I take notes on my phone of every single trip since i started 3 years ago. ....man you getting that amber alert? Thats twice now.

Mushrooms in air fryer absolutely works. Cover them in panko or something, blast for few minutes on high and it's fire!

127v is ok.  You just gotta splice the eu plug on there.

How serious are Brazilian authorities about investigating the claimed value on a customs declaration?

If you already gotta splice a different plug on the end of a thrift store dehydrator, what about further dismantling it so that it becomes a "cheap bag of used electronics parts?"
