If you could maintain conditions for pans I bet they could give a great substrate to drugs ratio. They're fast, doesn't require much substrate, can deliver full trays and will give 3 nice potent flushes.

the major problem is that is hard to find panaeolus here where i live. but cubes is very easy. the vendor i buy also has the "african transkei cube" that i suspect that is ochraceocentrata.

there's also the issue that pans are harder to cultivate, even though i think the climate of where i live is ideal or close to that (tropical climate).

Pan prints is right there in the marketplace :awesomenod: And they are harder to cultivate, but I was just talking about substrate to alkaloids ratio, which I thought was the question.

With cubes, a fast PE is probably the best option.

it is the question, i was just saying. of course, the easier the shroom the better, for practical reasons.

what PE variation would it be specifically?

also, if you are talking about the "trusted vendors" page, it is very cool, but unfortunately too expensive for me. right here i bought some 10ml australian strain liquid culture for like 6 dollars. meanwhile on sporeworks, that is very popular, basically any LC would be 20 dollars + shipping , so not very accessible for me unfortunately.

Nah I'm talking about the marketplace sub forum right here on the org(you'll get access when your account is over 90 days and have more then 50 posts), free spores mostly.

My Yeti was pretty on par with every other cube in terms of speed, haven't tried them yet, but if they're anything like APE they're potent af for a cube, at least the APE genetics I have. Tok 1 gram just to get my feet wet, almost drowned

Well not really, but OEV on 1 gram of cube was new to me, couldn't sleep for 5 hours :muppet:

Just to add a bit to the genetic side of potency.

Many strains were found to have multiple alleles on the psilocybin gene cluster.

Quote:
The Australian, Blue Magnolia, Luminous, and P-envy populations had multiple alleles for psilocybin production (Figure 4B).

Edit:  also some mushrooms can have quite a bit more dry weight than others.  I'm not sure how that applies to cubes but I imagine PE hold less water than B+

But I have a Copelandia (Pan) that's about 10% dry weight, while most others are closer to 5%.  Potency is maybe a touch lower than cyanescens.  But dry yield is much better and the fruits are larger too.

And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
I'd be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
