I thought the aquarium airstone would be enough. But I guess it's useless since the CO2 just settles in the monotub.

There's enough air movement where that doesn't happen.

What is this sort of white dusting on the top of my Tidal Wave? Two out of three bins have it. 1 bin is on flush 2. The other two are on their first flush.

They just want a little more air. Species and strains react a little differently but it's likely just mycelium. Those are reacting like neglected zapotecorum lol.

Should I add a new casing layer for the next flush?

When my bird was looking at my computer monitor, I thought, "that bird has no idea what he's looking at." And yet, what does the bird do? Does he panic? No, he can't really panic, he just does the best he can... You’re that bird looking at the monitor, and you’re thinking to yourself, ‘I can figure this out.’ Maybe you have some bird ideas. Maybe that’s the best you can do.

If you want. I always have casing prepped so I use it for ochra.

But I don't recase after the first flush, just spray the surface off gently in my sink to remove aborts and any mushroom bits I left in it after harvesting.  Then let it soak for a couple of hours.

Does anyone use a Martha-style or similar tent for their tubs just to keep AC and heating vents from blowing on their tubs? I need to clean up my setup and was thinking that may be a good solution.

hi awesome people, since i'm about to spawn other 10 tubes in the next days, i want to know how to improve

4 quart spawn, 1:3 spawn/bulk ratio (coir/verm, around 20-30% fine verm)
6 2"holes, polyfil since spawn, pretty tight at the bottom and than i remove a little to let more air flow when it's pinning.

i knew not every pin would be a monster, but i'm pretty disappointed with that, i hope more will grow, i'll make more harvests, do you have any suggestion?

i'm starting to think about making more small holes, what do you think?
:thanx:

You definitely can.  I would probably hook an exhaust fan up to it still and run it for five or ten minutes every couple of hours to keep the air fresher.

I've seen professional setups on reddit.  Vendors who sell spores for microscopy.

Big climate controlled room with fans and humidifiers, shelves everywhere stacked with monos.

Good call on the fan. It might get a little stagnant in there without one. Thanks, Tree Frog.

I prefer the more small holes appoarch and tape off with Mp... You want as much air flow as possible with out sacrificing (too much) humidity.

So your current setup is after fully colonized loosen the top holes first so the air that's hits the sub will be more humid vs bringing in dry air from the bottom.

I'd play around with your tub design, hell,... that is half the fun of cultivating (dialing-in)

And genetics play a part in canopies as well some cultures just aren't social butterflies

Thanks. But yellow metabolites have reduced after I stopped Misting. Check out new photos after 12 hrs. Check and give inputs. All experienced growers. Btw it's a wild strain of p cubenis.

I have grown many wild cubensis strains and I can tell you for sure, that is mycogone and your bag is a loss. Go ahead and believe what you want to though and suffer the consequences...lol

Not like I have any experience...:laugh2:

So would just agar and LME be enough? Sorry if that’s a dumb question I’m just kinda intimidated by the idea. Like I don’t need to add yeast that’s optional right?

Yeast is optional. Go for it, don’t be intimidated! It’ll be one of the easier things and a valuable tool.

Take it easy, but take it!

Thanks! That gave me the extra boost of confidence I needed! Do you guys recommend plastic or glass dishes for no pour? I seen some people even use a small mason jar as well

I recommend Pasty’s Agar tek.

Use what you have, follow a tek and you’ll have success. I like the tek above. I’ll also pour plastic 100mms depends on what I got!

I like the “holy grail” containers.  They are smaller than a normal petri and don’t have the best visibility, but they work well for no pour and you don’t have to wrap them.
