I bought BRF on ONE occasion from a health food store.
Why use BRF? It's gotta be the shittiest substrate there is.

WBS means wild bird seed. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than brown rice flour, gives better flushes, colonizes much faster and produces larger fruit that are more potent IMO. I like using millet which is naturally high in tryptophan which the mushrooms apparently convert into tryptamine therefore making them even more potent. I don't even bother soaking the stuff like all these teks you see. I just pour the seed into the jars, add the correct water content and PC!

You can pick birdseed up in many places. I get mine from a shop that specializes in koi carp funnily enough! Millet is commonly sold as finch or parakeet seed. Sorry for hijacking your thread Rah but I REALLY do detest brown rice flour and would like to see it go the way of the Dodo.

bringing the thread back...
My friend doesnt get brown rice flour, he just buys brown rice and grinds it up in a coffee grinder.

yeah My buddy uses grain..... Its good but I notice that if u have a colonized BRF cake u can keep it in the incubator for longer after 100% colonization.. as apposed to grain which ime stalls more and if u leave it for longer itll contam very quickly..
