that reminds me…time to move some fiji caps that have been printing for a few hours. I can get about four 12-hr print cycles out of most cube caps, or so it seems.

Really? I’ve never tried more than two rounds with a cap.

yeah, its great. I’ll do a writeup of it sometime but its almost too simple for that.

For most printing, I use a big tub with low sides.
I put water in the bottom of the tub…a quart or so…doesn’t matter.Sometimes I’ll use a water-wetted puppy pee pad. Its just for humidity in the tub.
Then I put in a baking cooling rack with a layer of plastic wrap laid on it, to keep the printing foil clean.
Follow that with the printing foil layer.
Then the caps, then a layer of plastic wrap loosly over the caps…keeps humidity close to the caps.
Change the foil every 12 hours until they’re exhausted or until I figure I’ve got enough.
Can get 4 cycles pretty regular. If the caps get dry, just put a drop of water on the caps and keep going.
Lid snapped on while printing.

I have a PE strain I grew over a year ago. It didn’t blob and I really liked the trip from it. I was thinking of trying to revive it for shits and gigs. Not sure if I should use agar or a BRF puck.

that’s cool - I have started a culture from dried fruits, I suppose that’s pretty much the same thing, but ya can’t be sure that its a clone until you actually do that from a live fruit. Give it a shot! Should get going easily with just a tiny bit of dried fruits on a plate.

Confession, I am waiting on agar supplies. I can get my wbs and jars ect at walmart.

Also im trying to scheme on how to convince my wife to let me take complete control of the office space for my hobby. It's either that or my upstairs closet which is much smaller.

Also im fumbling around different projects in my head of what im going to start on first and having a very hard time focusing on one thing because I'm so excited. I wonder sometimes if everyone else is as indecisive as me.

I have a wild cube print coming internationally from Australia rn and im wondering if customs will get it ? Probably be fine I guess. Would like to domesticate it but never got really far into agar or worked with a wild print. If it does come through im thinking of starting a main thread and doing a grow along with a couple members here I reached out to for a better chance to domesticate it.

Turns out what it actually was was really bad acid indigestion.

I have acid reflux and I happened to be eating something that caused me to kind of flare up and I didn't realize it.

And that made me feel funny inside and it led to having a panic attack while starting to Peak on the lsd.

And it was too much to handle for about and hour.

The trip before and after was really good tho.

Halfway through the pages of discussion and non-discussion that I slept through.

Beef I love you. Burn them down, destroy everything that destroys our planet, we have one planet. One planet and quazillions of lifeforms depending on it. One generation of monkeys shouldn't even have the means to destroy / threaten the future of all those lifeforms. No matter what the advantages would or wouldn't be, it's pure hubris.

Bird you're growing on me. I love the way you stay on the path you chose and don't let people steer you off that course.

My own position is fuck AI, fuck it to death. Things programmed by big tech will never produce the truth, it will never be in the interests of big tech / the capitalist class to produce something that tells the truth or advances compassion, solidarity or selflessness. Or that helps the majority of lifeforms, or the majority of people, or even the majority of white western middle class people. A category I couldn't care less about, but that seems of importance to a lot of people.

Ask the children of Gaza about what great advance in technology / morality this shit is.

Anyway confession: I had a near-accident on a job today. I got away with it, there is material damage, but ey. The flesh is intact, no one got hurt. I reacted very quickly and probably had some luck.

This is the final straw. I have permanently damaged one of my eyes and my right wrist in the past years. After my brother in law killed himself I keep having these soul-grinding thoughts about what would happen if I had a real baddy and wouldn't come home one day. I see my sister struggling to keep her head up and care for my nephew.

I don't want that shit with my kids and wife. Enough is enough. I fucking love my job but this is not worth it.

Fucking hell my legs are shaking.
