Gonna do a log for some Albino Bluey Vuitton since I have plates for two grows and figured why not.

Teks Used

11/5 Stuffed the swab into the AGAR now we wait.

11/13 some time constraints happened. I had take. Three samples and transferred. On this plate, you can see where I carried some of the contamination over. The one sample looks clean enough to grab from so I went ahead and grabbed it.

12/3 ok. So my agar from before was really funky. The samples I had taken somehow got worse. All of them.

So made more plates, germinated, and here’s the three cultures I will start with.

12/8 so the agar switch helped a lot. Got one I am gonna let grow out. Two going to a T3. Time wil tell

One of these is going to grains tomorrow! Already started four grain jars but these plates grew out well enough I feel like these are great to start one more grow with!

Easily the best genetics I have been blessed with having to fight which to choose from.

The one that looks like a “void” was actually from when I dropped the transfer and started some mycelium growth. Looks like it’s “integrating” in so pretty positive it wasn’t satellite contamination

The three separate plates I have growing out and considering how much of a plate I put into each jar they are moving. Pretty happy

Threads not dead. Just nothing really going on.

Two tubs are spawned. And needed to make an emergency jar for the third and decided to make another full jar for another four.

FYI. 1/4 turn means 1/4 inch turn with unmodified lids. I have noticed of all my grows, the mycelium gets weaker and after using the search engine found a post from Pasty that said that. I’ve been doing 1/4 rotation and grains have been drying out fast so it explains it.

Since I corrected the problem, a lot better growth.

The G2G for a 4th jar is catching up already. Probably close to 70%. The other 3 jars that are ready I went ahead and gave em one last BnS to confirm and slow em down a pinch.

The tub spawned on 1/26 (1:2.5 with an 1” pseudo casing) has its first mycelium poke at 8 days in!

And spawned tub #3. This time I did a 1:3 ratio with a 6 qt pseudo casing.

As for the G2G. Not thinking anything will come of it. Put 5 jars in the SAB with the transfer jar I had set aside. Poured it all. Then when I went to smell the transfer jar, there was a slight funk. I will let it ride but I think the 3 tubs is where it ends.

Considering that would have been the 4th transfer I ain’t complaining. Had a good amount of dialing in I’ve been learning with this grow.

The 1st tub has mycelium poking all around so I should get mushier SOMEWHERE. lol

Worthy of an update since I’m changing/adjusting something.

The consistent area of failure for me has always been a combo of 1) field capacity , 2) surface conditions and 3) not LITFA.

Living in a dryer climate, I needed to find the balance of FAE/GE.

I finally have settled on a brand of coir and water weight that is a little on the dryer side that’s not a wet mess and bacteria heaven.

2 bricks of coco bliss
3.5 L water
2.25 qts Verm

The further along pic is the first tub I spawned. The mycelium is coming along. But I’m not seeing the water droplets it exfoliates as it colonizes.

So tub 2 which is 5 days behind also got a new layer.

So added a layer of micropore tape and gonna let em ride now.

Went ahead and added the layer to tub three since it’s a generational spawn and since it’s day one I can compare and contrast.

No, no more lid opening til I need to blast the hell out of FAE

Day 14 tube update for Tub #1. Will do a 14 day pic for all 3 (possibly 4) tubs.

Tub #2 13 days in. 1:2.5 CV bulk with 5qt top modified P9 tek

I also let those 5 jars ride out and the came out looking and smelling fine. *shrug*

So might as well have some fun. True P9 tek 1:4 compressed bulk with a 2 quart (per spawn jar) pseudo casing.

Made a shoebox version to go with it.

Tub #1 has pins. Tub #2 has a pin

Tubs 1 and 2. I would be more upset had I done everything right. But I know I made these tubs under field capacity cause it’s been my major area of mess up lately. I had to bottom water to get coir back up.

They will ride out obviously. But the number of aborts is for sure my problem and that’s fine.

So tub 4 update and just update over all.

Part of this log was learning how to dial in everything. I had solid genetics so I’ve been able to mess around with how/what/why I do things and get my field capacity issues under control. Which also means growing conditions as well.

See here are all the tubs as they stood. I chucked tubs 1 and 2 as the were under capacity and I also let too much GE when I live in a drier climate. Abort city. Like I started to take off the top then realized I flat out didn’t care and tossed em.

Tub 3 I am able to get under control and get productive use from it. Just pulled this little cluster in the corner for 430g wet.

Tub 4 with the grow along shoebox is where I learned the most about my conditions and have the best field capacity and looks like it’s going to be great.

I would consider tub 3 a success overall. Would have like a full canopy but I got something out of it all

Doing a couple clone grows with this culture to keep it going and loved the trips. The two plates dropped to grains

2g charcoal
2g yeast

Didn’t get the canopy I wanted.

BUT the weight would mean the efficiency was high.

Well time to wrap up this log. It’s been a fun one and one that I learned the most in my cult adventures. Learned a lot about field capacity, LITFA, agar, and just the whole process.
