Is a $2million dollar 1 ct red diamond more beautiful than a 50 ct synthetic ruby?

Finding diamonds are needles in a haystack.


The human effort is the value in finding and making it beautiful.


My hotwater tank blew up last week. I spent like 3 hours this morning boiling water on the stove for a bath. Goddamn if that isn't the best bath I've ever had.

After watching blood diamond I just can't buy any diamonds though I do find them appealing. We have diamond mines in Canada. If I had to buy one it would be Canadian.

My $6 smoked chicken thighs are a better dinner than most $70 restaurant filet mignons. I definitely put more work into earning the money for the filet, but most likely am going to be disappointed especially with the cost of it, knowing what I can produce at home for less time and energy.

If you like it better, then it is better.

Oh i'm not knocking diamonds, ain't nothing like good ole Carbon-666 (6 electrons, 6 protons, 6 neutrons) organic life is based on, as opposed to the silicon based AI.. And Moissanite, Silicon carbide, being the stone of the current Technozoic Aeon, SiC in perfect harmony.

I'm romantic for diamonds but, if you look at the first video, 2 two-carat stones in honest comparison, I find what Moissanite does to light prettier than what a Diamond does.

I like those psychedelic prismatic sharp defined colors all over :awecid:

Diamonds forged in the bowels of the earth over millions of years, of course I favor that, but in my book, if you compare a lab diamond with a lab moissanite, the moissanite wins with flying colors. It is more spectacular.

Yeah, I used to be a fan of cubic zirconia, but this is ridiculously more beautiful, closest thing to it is the first vid of the thread. It looks -better- than a diamond of the same CCCC. Its literally like gawking at a million dollar stone :grin:

My feet and general health are improving, i'm pumping more iron, stationary bike more and get more sht done. The recovery is slow but its getting there. Blood sugar is almost normal, even when I eat whole wheat bread.

After 5 years of aaaarghh things are looking up at the Asante residence :smile:
