i thought it was pretty amazing. he laid out the facts so everyone could understand the basics of the process. he dispelled right wing spin and rumors surrounding the issue. faith should not guide science, this isnt the middle ages. other countries are already exploring this issue and so should we, curing disease and medicine is important to our future.

it was moving that he was speaking at his fathers "party" opponents delegation.

I accept they are the future. I embrace the technology. I oppose VEHEMENTLY the government forcing people who oppose such things to finance it via taxes.

the question is do more americans oppose or embrace? and are views of those opposing based in reality? this election will decide which way most feel.. majority rules except in 2000 when the marjority did not.

No, the government should not spend our tax dollars on either of those things. It should spend them only on the legitimate functions of government, such as paving highways and providing for the common defense.

so the government should not help fund medical research that will benefit its people? we should not strive to cure disease?? what about the common defense from fatal and debilitating illness? im all for spending my tax dollars on something that will actually benefit myself and my family directly.
