ron regan jr's stem cell speech
    #2934141 - 07/27/04 10:17 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

i thought it was pretty amazing. he laid out the facts so everyone could understand the basics of the process. he dispelled right wing spin and rumors surrounding the issue. faith should not guide science, this isnt the middle ages. other countries are already exploring this issue and so should we, curing disease and medicine is important to our future.

his speech was ok delivered to an american audience of ignorance.......i completely agree with the research......but the idea of having spare parts at the hospital in the future? yes maybe WAYYYYYY in the future, not yours or mines

it was moving that he was speaking at his fathers "party" opponents delegation.

i just hope these demos can get that monkey outta that whote house

I accept they are the future. I embrace the technology. I oppose VEHEMENTLY the government forcing people who oppose such things to finance it via taxes.

the question is do more americans oppose or embrace? and are views of those opposing based in reality? this election will decide which way most feel.. majority rules except in 2000 when the marjority did not.

You know if some 3rd world country (FRANCE) found a cure to dying though this embriotic stem cell research......Bush would be all in favor of bombin the shit outta their women and kids just so he could get his hands on the recipe.

Add two parts water.....one embryo.....and a prayer

Lets face it he would toss that Bible out the window of airforce one for a dollar.......

She wore it purposely to evoke the memory of Nancy Reagan. Also Reagan began his political carreer as a Democrat and flip -flopped into a republican.

No, the government should not spend our tax dollars on either of those things. It should spend them only on the legitimate functions of government, such as paving highways and providing for the common defense.

so the government should not help fund medical research that will benefit its people? we should not strive to cure disease?? what about the common defense from fatal and debilitating illness? im all for spending my tax dollars on something that will actually benefit myself and my family directly.
