Are these tiny?

Smaller than normal I mean?

Between 2.5-3.5ish inches tall. And biggest cap is bout the size of a quarter.

Nice work hippie
To answer your question, after 10 tubs or so all I can say is semps come in almost any size and shape, denser the pinset, smaller the fruits, in my experience.

Glorious! 😍

They're stunning, great flush. 👌🏻.

I wouldn't even mind if they were, honestly, if it were me. Haha.

Cool.  That's what I was starting to figure. I just noticed everybody's stipes were a lot bigger and was curious if something was going on that was causing that.

This

other tub is pushing out fruits that are the same size. But it's definitely got some underlying contam. The pin set unsurprisingly is much less dense. So I didn't know if the contam was affecting just the pin set coverage and density or if it was affecting the sides as well and then make me wonder is there something I don't see that's going on in the tub that's looking amazing LOL

Anyways what's the consensus on dehydrating fruits that are this small? Is it worth it? Do they just disintegrate into almost nothing?

And thanks guys I'm definitely proud of them.

Well, with semps and pans I dry almost everything, they may be small, but they pack a punch.

Take a look at this sad tub(they do NOT like manure), but the fruits are big. The stipe is about 1,5cm in width

My Mexicana are often smaller than that, dry up to basically grass clippings. All good! 🫶🏻 Smaller are generally more potent by weight though, so dose accordingly. 🤩

Nice tubs! Mine have grown thick and thin, tall and short, straight and twisted  and had various sized caps. But I grow mainly from spores and expect the unexpected to appear.
As for drying I still do 24 at 160 but I’ll be dropping the hours down because I think 24 is overkill. Mine don’t dry to dust, they dry to toothpicks that snap.
Have fun. Be careful.

It's not about the size of your stipe Hip, it's about what you do with it. And if they say the bigger stipes just feel better, well, that's just like eh, their opinion, man.

I weaseled out of tripping yesterday (It was hot. I was tired. I'm a weasel). So today is the day.
But somehow my stomach twists and turns at the look of the little stipey stipes

This looks like flaked corn, for brewing. Is that correct? Looks really nice. How did you prepare this?

Yes they are, with manure based substrate, which they don't seem to like, pinset is shit, but the fruits that does pop up are fat :muppet:

So how do we know when to Harvest these babies? I mean if we're not trying to grab some spores or anything. Then when would be a good time?

By the way I'm probably going to be pulling the contaminated tub any day now cuz the green has finally popped through the surface and  stared to spread. So I'll be pulling those fruits before they are affected.

Observant.  Yes, it is the cheapest grain at the farm store.  I did not want to spend too much trying out this.

I would explain and put up a picture but I was attacked roundly before when simply trying to help, and merited two single ratings by long-timers.  I do not care as I have nothing to lose but it is still shocking behaviour.

I must take down the picture.

Yes that is green.  And I find now three other jars with green.  I will certainly not put up the green pictures.

I find that my complete first tranche is contaminated.  And in most cases it is completely independent of the agar, which is blooming beautifully.  This can only mean my grain was not sterilised.  Indeed, with my cheap cooktop I can never get my pressure cooker to any pressure above 1 bar.  It boils the water inside but never develops pressure, so I compensate by boiling for 4 hours at 100*.  Not good enough.  Surely my second tranche is dead as well.

Off to the cabin for me.  And time to drink.  At least I can do that.

Edit:  Unless.  And I did these jars (28 Jun) in the same session as the contaminant bloom from the bag.

Indeed!  My second tranche (30 Jun) shows zero contamination yet!  Maybe there is hope.  I will put the contaminated jars in the refrigerator until I receive my novel mix of agar and more petris for cabining.  The first tranche has my best agar specimens.

The flaked corn looks pretty cool. I wonder how easy it is to prep. I’m on ignore, so I will never know :sadyes:

Hydration wise it looks like he did a good job. I almost want to try it out for the novelty of it
