I went ahead and pulled out the mushrooms. The one jar had only a tiny pin, floating in the air, suspended by some wisps of mycelium so that I just shook out, no damage and it was quick. The other two had only minor damage but on closer inspection one of them had side pins buried far down in the jar. So that one I harvested the lot and put it in the dehydrator. Since it's bulkier when wet I made tea from 3 heaping Tbs and drank it a couple hours ago. No visuals but definitely, mildly stoned. Pleasant but only that. So probably 2 Tbs for a micro dose at total ET in the jar of about 7 weeks.

Time will tell if those other two jars keep fruiting or get contams or...

Put masking tape over part of the fiberfill to reduce gas exchange a bit, hoping to stop future fruiting.

This morning took 3 Tbs of the dried myceliated oats plus the mushrooms harvested from the 3 jars. One with small cap and thin stem, about 2 inches long+one about 1/4 that size+one tiny pin with a little clump of mycelium. I did not weight that. Made acidified tea with all that.

Got 1/2 way between level 2 and 3. Eyes open just mild visual distortion and some disequilibrium so lying down on my bed. Closed my eyes for a moment which turned into about 1 1/2 hours of brilliantly colored, morphing 3-D fractal patterns and could feel that somehow rewiring my brain. It's been a while. The visuals were nearly completely gone at that 1 1/2 hour mark thought the vertigo etc lasted most of the rest of the day.

Resurrecting this older thread



Myceliated popcorn.  Freeze dried.  1 level (ish) tablespoon is about 8 grams.  Going to make tea and take as a test dose this am.  Just going to grind up and do straight tea. No lemon tek.  Will probably just drink the grains too.  1 quart jar freeze dried down to 275 grams of myceliated grain.  If this works, seems to me that this is the way to go.  Easier and less conspicuous than mushrooms.  Just looks like blue popcorn :smile:

What container are you using to dry the grain? I’m thinking a strainer bag would work. I have a very basic dehydrator with rack height about 35-40 mm,
Total of 4 racks. Only one temp, 70° C. No switches on it. I plug it in and it runs until I unplug it.
And for how long? Is it 24 h like fruits, more or less?

I think you could use a dehydrator.  I'm using a harvest right freeze dryer.  Doesn't get over 125f.  Probably could use various methods.  I think if you look around in this thread they talk about drying. It is on page 66 of tek in first post of this thread 24h at 50c.  Grains should be rock hard.  Store in jar with desiccant.  I just vacuum seal in jar
