Understanding Grain Tek???

My friend is looking at starting a group of jarz using one of the grain teks. I think what I'm seeing in the various teks is a mason jar ONLY the outside ring over top of a tyvec type filter and the flat lid piece is not used at all. My friend thinks the metal lid is under the tyvec. Who is correct??? Also looking for a good popcorn tek or link.

Use the popcorn link that buu supplied and use this polyfill tek for filtration.

or you can get some tyvek here http://shop.usps.com just do a search when you get to the main page for tyvek they will send you as many envelopes as you like for free or just hit up the fedx guy

I suggest ordering some plastic jar lids and filters from www.mycosupply.com. I was skeptical about pressure cooking with plastic but it works fine. NO rust. Just drill holes in them but be careful they break easy.

Cool, so If he goes with the tyvec method, does he leave off the lid portion of the jar and just use the ring part to secure them?

Does anybody know the link for Ryche Hawk's rye flour and water, liquid mycelium tec. Ive tried searching shroomery.org for ryche hawk and looked through the mycelium culture tecs. I know I've seen it I just can't find the damn thing again.
