OP is a troll.

For everyone else, I would recommend low-moderate but not high doses of psilocybin for unexpressed trauma and the related developmental pathologies ie. nervous system weakness and cognitive aspects of schizophrenia. If you're actively delusional and acting on those delusions shrooms are a nightmare but if it's reasonably understood and controlled you can target the trauma(s) that create the brain activity responsible. It's in the clinic in Australia now. It will be very effective for our health system... The targeting of the traumas will come on quickly at the start of the experience.

LSD is very psychotic for anyone. When I took LSD I had no abreaction of my traumas at all. LSD is for well people with no active issues who are more or less shamans. It's not recreational nor is it medicinal.

DMT is another dimension that talks to you with hallucinated events. lol. You can forget that for your traumas.

at what dose were you using LSD?
Doses lower than 50ug seem very beneficial to normal non-shaman humans; while higher dose experiences of mushrooms are equally discombobulating as high LSD and DMT roller-coaster sessions.

I was going to ask something similar. My mother has recently had a dementia diagnosis and I don't know whether a journey would be helpful or not.

It hasn't really hit me yet I don't think (though I have cried on many occasions) or I know I haven't come anywhere close to dealing with the reality.

Part of me thinks I should confront that 'reality' head on now as the actual reality of seeing my beloved mother losing her moorings and then buried in the ground (preposterous) is no doubt going to be painful beyond words. I've dreaded this moment since I was a little boy. One of my earliest memories was me and my twin brother crying because we had realized our mother would die one day. I still remember her lovingly assuring us, not to worry, because it wouldn't happen until we were all grown up. Seemed an eternity away back then.

As a father I guess I can just about accept the loss of my parents who have reached old age, especially because with young children I don't really have the option of falling to pieces!

At any rate, I haven't had the courage to journey despite telling myself every week that this week will be the one.

I kind of feel like I'm hiding from the reality of what's happening and dishonoring my mother by doing so (just in general, not by not tripping). Almost like I'm repressing her. There are times when I just forget the entire thing and then I'll remember, but still kinda numb. Mind I have been carrying this for a while, cause I sensed something was wrong with my mother a few years back (when drunk, she thought I had attended her wedding).

Anyway I'm rambling...

I keep wondering why I'm not crying all the time tbh like I'm an unfeeling psychopath or something.

I know several people who credit psychedelics with helping them identify aspects of themselves to improve, who then did so.


I've lost several loved ones to suicide, as well.

these historic events are beyond comprehension, certainly beyond any final right or wrong way of being confronted once and for all.
even after there is no going back ever, there is still no benefit of regret for not having done more or better.

Clearly you are awake to all your relations and duties and amazingly are managing to be a father as well as many other roles.

If you can take a smallish sacrament on the weekend, you will probably gain some strength and wider gentler perspective to keep on keeping on.

I don't believe psychedelics played any role in any of the suicides of people I know. Mostly relationship drama did.

Someone may have mentioned that psychedelic are associated with increased risk of suicide in some specific cases, the link above relates to that.

I know several people who would likely have killed themselves if not for psychedelics, which played constructive roles in their personal evolution.

Thanks. I think so. Amps up the fear factor a little though leading to procrastination. I know I'm repressing the reality of the situation (or my brain is doing so on my behalf) and I know once in the realm it will hit me like a ton of bricks and I will properly comprehend my mother and my love for her.

But also know that this daunting reality is one that will have to be confronted sooner or later anyway and I'd like (for my children's sake) to try and be a braver person. I've never really had to confront such things before and didn't do too well even as a child when my hamster or Nan's dog died!

Sucks obviously, but I believe one has to try (or is obligated) to be strong. But then the catharsis is in the grief itself and strength comes from being brave despite the pain, not in trying to avoid it.

One thing my use of psychedelics and cannabis taught me over the years (which some might find obvious) is that we often have a choice on whether or not we choose to be brave or cower away from something.
It was that realization that got my Cannabis anxiety under control after many years! Yes I'm going to die but fuck you let's have it, I'm not going to cower anymore!

I have to try not to cower (block out) from this situation too...

Question is can I truly stand up and face the coming situation head on unflinchingly. The trouble is I live in a different country to my mother and getting home often isn't easy. Without being there it's much easier to repress, even inadvertently.

Anyway the forum doesn't need my life story but I do sense that an Ana trip would be beneficial in forcing me to confront these issues. Going back home for the summer too.

if we have any choice or remedial intelligence it is in the behavior of pausing,
we can learn to pause to get better perspective
learning to relax and pause from some reflex perception based behavior, really is your way to relief.
this is the same whether you use mind expanding drugs or not

stalling while overreacting, or while reaching for low hanging fruit, allows you to see a better way of doing the next thing - this is the best thing I can offer.

Astral projection, migration of souls, these ideas are common extensions of the wonder of mental life and dreams, but they do not really make sense to me now, although they did when I was 15 years old.

I suspect that on a neurological level, psilocybin promotes neuroplasticity. That's a biochemical issue that I can't speak to.

Personally, psychedelics induce an alternate state of mind which I have found to be similar to going someplace else when under the influence and coming home when the influences wanes. You can see your problems and concerns when you are away, but you see them from a different perspective. It is not so much that the psychedelic solves the problem, it just give you an alternate view of the problem. You can be forced to deal with or completely distracted from it.

I'm not big on using psychedelics for self discovery. I just like going on a trip.

I just wanted to say my dead brother has visited me and I've also had my heart stop completely and saw the dead (relatives, angel-like beings). I just wanted to share that for your sake not mine. Just so you know, the dead are out there.
