Man I feel like that’s what could be causing the inner ear pressure or MΓ©niΓ¨re’s disease. I broke the nub on one of my C’s in high school. My cervical area doesn’t curve, it just kinda angled in a straight line and when it gets tight I feel like I’m having a heart attack. Not that I would actually know what that feels like but the first few times I was freaked out thinking I was about to go into cardiac arrest. Thanks for sharing that brother! Trying to figure this out has been stressful but that right there confirms some things for me. It’s crazy how so much stuff is tied together up there!

I got goosebumps lol I kinda skipped over these before but holy shit, I’ve experienced the same thing and likely narrowed it down to being caused by arthritis in my cervical spine.

I was at work last year and was handing a customer their money and all of the sudden had huge pressure in my head and then it felt like a balloon popped and I felt the sensation like water rushing down my neck, ended up on the floor very confused.

Even just tonight I bent over to pick up a jar of mushies and when I stood up it felt like a c clamp was on my head just above my ears, squeezing hard for like 70 seconds and then just gone.

I also get hella heart palps, went to the ER last year because I had an episode at work I had like 100 in the matter of an hour or so.

I will say, magnesium taurate + B6 has helped me reduce heart palpitations in the past, if you guys have them you should try it.

Moment of solidarity though for real πŸ˜‚

Imo all this shit is connected to autoimmune diseases + neurodivergency + hypermobility lol

Yes it is all tied together and basically what LadiesKnight said mentioning the Vagus nerve. I feel you, this is no joke when it hits you out of nowhere. When it happened the first time I instantly had a panic attack and I stumbled out on the street thinking if I keel over then at least someone will find me. My neighbor was just coming out and I asked him if he could take me to ER.

I almost broke my neck when I was a kid and a second time at work when I was shoveling concrete off the back of a truck and the shovel handle broke and I went backwards over the side. Had more luck than common sense lol.

I really hope you can find a solution to this. Best of luck brother :sun:

Well shit man that’s something I definitely have, Arthritis in my cervical spine. Already. Already diagnosed 5 years ago. Everything you just described with the bending over has happened to me.

Between the three of you I’ve got some valid things to talk to my doctors about. Glad I’m getting my heart checked though. I was not kind to it in my 20’s and early 30’s. Had an ultrasound and ekg last week and it’s not enlarged and the valves are all good! Getting my coratid artery done next week and a calcium score as well!

OK, I'm not touching the space heater thing, you're obviously going to hell for that one.

But, yeah, I stopped all that "let it settle" stuff years ago. Just doesn't work for the amount of SAB space I have versus the amount of work I need to do. And I really don't have enough lab space to expand my SAB footprint. Twenty quarts getting inoculated from a few different masters, or sometimes even from 20 other quarts, plus maybe a dozen agar transfers, all in one session? Just not practical. One source of inoculant goes in, all the receiving containers are already in place and unwrapped, and it's off to the races.

I do try to spray my SAB before getting into the shower to clean up for a session, and then there's the phase of smoking weed wrapped in a towel, as well. So there's at least a period of time where particlees in the air are settling out or sticking to the walls. While the heat or AC are cranked up so that I can turn them off before starting work. Because I' not trying to go to hell.

I know it's cute to do this work for a while and decide that you can bend or break established rules, but once legalization comes and we have proper Shroom police, that'll be a dangerous game. Run bacterial spawn? Jail. Pick too soon? Jail. Pick too late? Also jail.

I confess! My cult bro makes such clean LC that I don’t flame sterilize shit anymore!

My jar lids all have self healing injection ports. I wipe the ports with alcohol swabs first, then in between jars is dip my needle into a bowl full of 12% h202! My success rate has been 97% (over the last 100 jars) using this method. Actually a bit better than using the flame. I suspect the hot needle would melt and expand the port on occasion letting contaminates in. I was typically hovering between 85-90% before.

I’m just getting into agar so back to the flame until I get good with it. Then I’m going to try my luck with the bowl full of 12%

Tardy to the party again.... but I must confess to putting some trich to the torch yesterday. 1/2 gal Fahtlock with reishii (BRF pucks buried in coir), I admit it took me half a day to admit that spot was green. But then we got a lil' bit high on MDMA and I said "torch time!!!" All torch work was done after it was quarantined. It did smell pretty good. 10/10, would do again, assuming it helps.
