Find the best fruit, preferably a cluster of best fruits, and clone it.

cool thank you. ive been lurking around here since the lava rock days but only recently started getting into agar and making my own prints. trying to wrap my head around the whole generations thing. F1 F2 etc.

if i get a print from a vendor, say Ecuador, isnt that technically like an F347,842,201? im wondering why start at F1 when i take a print from a "desirable" fruit and grow it out. does it really mean anything or is it just a point of reference??

i guess thats not a quick question but if anyone has a link to in depth info on the topic, id greatly appreciate it.

No depth from me, because I’m lacking experience, but my approach is going to be to label prints from ms grows starting from F1. But this is my random idea that it’s a first generation that was successful in my particular grow parameters and conditions. Possibly leading to the Fn that’s really really adapted to a certain approach, for example brf cakes.

Edit: Of course I might get bored along the way and just start agar 😄

My new favorite out of context saying.

Any time I want to sound profound I will drop this into a conversation. Will certainly be a hit when inserted into awkward political discussions around the turkey tomorrow.

Well, it's f1 if you're crossing varieties.  Not exactly sure due to the fact mushroom sex is even more convoluted than mine.  If it's just a print from the same line the filial label might not apply.

Anyone got a cleaning jars hack for those without dishwashers?

Not looking forward to 30 of them :l

Has anyone used those ultrasonic dishwashers?

They all seem pretty worthless for actually cleaning food, but for removing any solids from jars before getting pressure cooked, it might be enough.

Has anyone had any luck finding Holy Grail containers in Canada? All the links I have seen passed around are from Amazon USA. All the ones I found in Canada don't specifically say they are pp5

If I didn’t have a dish washer I would probably let my jars get kinda bad. Hot water and soap, shake it up, rinse it out. Whatever doesn’t come out gets PC’d again 🤷‍♂️

When making CVG using the bucket tek, is there anything to do for the gypsum to not harden and dry up?  It's a bitch to scrape off and mix. I read about mixing the dried vermiculite and gypsum first before adding the coco coir and I tried it, but still the same results. It hardens and gets stuck to the bottom of the bucket.

If it dries up, i don't think you're using the correct amount of water.
