This one's already over, Trump is going to get crushed. The real question is whether the GOP takes the hint and leaves the MAGA shit behind, or it they finally implode for good

Me thinks you live in an echo chamber if you think Trump is going to get crushed. He's going to get more black, latino and gay voters than last election by miles. Are you not paying attention?

The original post was we he didn't pay bill from 2019 when he was president.
https://www.fec.gov/introduction-campaign-finance/understanding-ways-support-federal-candidates/presidential-elections/public-funding-presidential-elections/

Security and who pays for it is all from governments money.  The event locations have to paid out by campaigns that still don't cost 200k anywhere.
Even Madison Square Garden was knocked down  to 150k instead of it 1 million fee.

You have no idea what you're talking about.  Secret Service does not fund political events.  Also, Trump isn't a president and his rallies aren't "presidential events."

All the Secret Service does for Trump is protect him. That's it.  Federal dollars don't pay for the additional police, etc.

I heard USSS pay for their rooms at trump tower or something like that, I don't know if it's true, if it's public money, or out of each guys own pocket though

I need to know to decide.

This is hilarious because trump wont do anything to stop bombs over Gaza. He'll just do like he did with drone strikes in other countries, and make sure it doesn't get reported anymore. Then act like the bombing has stopped all together.

More examples of the thief/crook who doesn't pay what he owes.

Fake news 101. Secret service pays the bill for all presidential events including political rallies.  Tax money out of pocket form us all. Same with air travel , cost 177k an hour of flight,  biden only worth 8 million reportly the g8 summit alone would have bankrupted him.  Now on the hand since he isn't president anymore the rallies are on his nickel.  But a cheap rally or events center is avg 3 k for an afternoon.  Where security is still on our taxes bill the 200k is over billing and the major knows that.

A secret service protectee never has to pay the cost incurred for their protection, but taxpayers do not foot the bill for campaign related events, only official events. When Harris uses Air Force two to travel to campaign events, she has to reimburse the government the value of that trip, which usually means paying the published unrestricted air fare price for herself and campaign staff. The campaigns pay all permitting and venue costs as well as whatever costs localities pass on to event organizers. The extra costs incurred by the secret service to protect the candidate is paid by US taxpayers.

The president and VP pay the government the market price for airfare when traveling for personal or campaign reasons, but the government pays the entire cost of operating those planes.

Just as anyone flying on a government plane for campaign or personal reasons must reimburse the government, anyone flying on a private or campaign plane in their capacity as a government employee must reimburse the operator the value of that flight.

Horror story about being a paid canvasser for Musk’s America PAC, which is running the entire voter drive in Michigan.

Normally the party and candidate recruit politically motivated volunteers for door knocks and other voter engagement. Trump has abandoned that model, and has farmed out the job to third parties that contract the work out to for profit canvassing companies.

These companies hire college age kids from lower income areas in various cities, ship them to swing states and House them in cheap motels. Then their bosses threaten their jobs, housing and return ticket home if they can’t meet unreasonable quotas. Some of these cases of fabricated voter registration applications are likely paid canvassers inflating their numbers

https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-america-pac-blitz-canvassing-michigan-uhaul/

I wonder if it they did this because they couldn't find enough Trump supporters willing to volunteer to help the campaign, or if they're just uncomfortable working with people they can't abuse.

Because Trump is just an egotistical rogue who actually believes he can save America, not Hitler. The man probably fantasizes about a gold statue being built in his honor after he dies. You can't do that making the country weak, you have to make it powerful, and that includes empowering ALL of its citizens, not just republicans.

The people he is referring to are the Deep State. George Carlin did an entire skit on the Deep State before he died. Carlin and Trump are referring to the same people, whether you believe them or not, they're talking about the same, "owners of this country."

They do it because it’s easier than running the same operation from within the campaign and it’s a good way to move large amounts of donated campaign funds into someone’s pockets. Hiring political consultants and pollsters is commonplace, but canvassing is almost organized from within campaigns because highly motivated free labor is much better than unskilled, low paid employees not invested in the cause.

We really need to tighten up the rules. One of the largest vendors for the Trump campaign is the Trump organization and its subsidiaries and shell companies. One of the Trump organizations biggest clients is the Trump campaign. Tens of millions of dollars in donor cash being funneled into businesses owned by the candidate and its legal. The fact that Trump’s business have earned so much money off from being a vendor to his campaigns and the federal government should be a massive scandal. Not to mention the amount of business he gets from people who understand the unwritten rules: if you want favorable considerations from Trump you should be staying in his hotel or renting his ballrooms for your campaign.

This is true. Isreal is fighting a war, America isn't. We can't make them stop. Even if we stopped giving them money they'd still be doing what they're doing. The difference being we'd lose our only ally in the middle east. Strategically it's in America's best interest to remain allied to Isreal.

Also wtf are we talking about Biden barely supports Isreal but he does and trump is so vehemently pro Isreal he litterally said he'd turn Iran into glass by using American forces to bomb the shit out of them even more then they are now.

Off topic but…That’s a the kind of crazy Trump talk I can’t stand about the guy.  It’s stupidly dangerous to think there are no repercussions on the rest of us little people when he’s does so repeatedly.  His tenure in office the first go around he was striking other nations from the comfort of the Oval Office.  So it’s more just only talk, too.

Hopefully Kamalot has a little bit better impulse control.  :crankey:
