I have a joke about trash island but have never involved Puerto Rico.

Kill Tony is a loved and hated show in the comedy scene. Being sort of the gong show of comedy. Nobody  thinks Tony is funny unless he is roasting. His long form standup isn't that great. He told some decent jokes for a political rally, but there was no way he was ever going to land that in front of the MSM. It was never going to work.

Conservatives can’t do comedy. A good racist joke makes fun of the stereotype and doesn’t come across as mean spirited. His joke about carving watermelons for Halloween had potential but the set up and delivery was terrible. The Puerto Rico comment wasn’t even a joke. It was just a poorly executed insult. And if you’re gonna share the stage with Stephen Miller, you probably shouldn’t even attempt trying edgy racial jokes.

Tony could have roasted Trump and MAGA characters.

Comedy is on my top 5 most important things in the world to me so I ALWAYS judge it on whether it's funny or not. If it's funny and it offends me I can excuse that.

Tony actually doesn't fall into the category of conservative comedy. Jim Bruer,Jeff Dunham, Rob Schnider and Greg Guttfeld for example are conservative comedians that are consistently Terribly unfunny. Conservative comedy in that sense is painfully unfunny 100% of the time.

Whats super interesting about Tony is he actually is funny and a good roaster most of the time when hes not bring political. His Tom Brady roast was masterful. I watch Kill Tony and his guest comedians(bucket pulls) are often wayyyy more racist then he is. One guy Hans Kim is what they call a golden ticket winner which means he's permanently on the show and he's not funny in the slightest. He has some of the most racist comedy I've ever heard.

Only recently comedy fans and Kill Tony fans have been flooding the comments saying he's painfully unfunny and racist. You see KT is based in Texas and an Asian guy who's over the top racist was a novelty to them for a long time still is to a degree.

And he's playing to a specific crowd that is pretty racist. I think Tony sees how "people" find the racist stuff funny and he sorta believes it too and so he thinks the racist stuff is what people want. He knew especially a trump rally would fit that demographic.

Most of those comedians I can barely watch they're so terrible. But occasionally Tony gets political on Kill Tony and it always sucks.

Its weird I'm a fan of the show because there's some hilarious non racists like Kam Newton but I loathe Hans Kim and the random bucket pulls they get sometimes are very funny but the racist unfunny bucket pulls are literally painful to watch.

In this setting though because it's a trump rally his joke was meant to be funny because it's "true" and because it's a political rally it was more of a political statement rather than a throwaway joke which makes it 100× more racist than if he said it on Kill Tony.

If he said it on Kill Tony it wouldn't have been funny, wouldve gotten a few chukles from the crowd and it would've just been a failed bad joke. At a trump rally it isn't funny and is a political statement even if he doesn't realize it. And that makes it pretty racist that he thinks it's so true that it deserved laughs.

I saw Rob Schneider and the dude killed. People in Trump garb were leaving the show and Rob was tearing up both sides.

Tony was never going to work in that setting. It worked out perfectly in that sense.

Really? Wow I'll give rob another chance then. The last special he did was straight up garbage. It was on Fox nation though maybe he tailored it for that. The rest i mentioned though I think it's harder to make a case for.

I'm not sure that Trump is an ideological fascist. Mostly because I don't believe he has the mental faculties to have any coherent ideology. I think he's just a toxic narcicist who thinks he's a very special boy who should get everything he wants and will do or say anything to get it, and what's working for him is the large minority of people who have had fascistic and fascism enabling thoughts hammered into their brains for decades by Republican party elites, and the oligarchy.

A lot of his henchmen, advisors, and financiers, on the other hand, ARE ideologically fascist, and they are using him to push the government into a fascist plutocracy.

A more fascist plutocracy than the plutocracy that the corporate Democrats are pushing us into, at least.

Jon Stewart probably shaped my view of old school Republicans when I was 14 circa 2004 or so, maga is definitely way more extreme and Nazi shit has been coming up, even some old school Republicans like Chaney has come out and endorsed Kamala Harris, that's how fucked up MAGA is
