I was going to say the exact same thing and I do the exact same thing LOL I'm not one for the taste I wish I could chop down on a fresh one. But I was thinking about dicing it up into tiny little pieces then washing it down with sweet tea the same way. That might work

Now that I'm cultivating myself I definitely want to try it for the sake of saying I did. And cuz now I finally have the opportunity.



So if we normally start with 2-4gs.  Up  to 8-12g over a 5-hour period.


What would one suggest to start with as a fresh dose?

Keep in mind that I'm a very experienced tripper. And I love to trip extremely hard every single time. None of that microdosing bullshit.

Fresh shrooms have always been indistinguishable from dry to me :shrug:

I put mine in a smoothie with frozen berries, protein powder, milk, and coconut oil. Drink it fast. Don’t breathe through your nose. Burps are unavoidably bad though.

So 4 G dry is equivalent to about how much wet? Are we eating more grams wet than we would be dry?

Personally I multiply whatever I’d be eating dry by 10.

And now I'm understanding that it's more a close approximation than exact science. Like I said I've had 40gs wet turn into 3.6 dry but if you multiply by 10 it's about the closest you can get to an accurate approximation.

Otherwise how would you calculate 3.6 dry from 40gs wet? It'd take extremely specific and random numbers to predict how much it would actually shrink. At least 10x it's accurate within a .4 or so.

Hei, made some agar plates today, first time.

Some fast questions:

You keep plates in the fridge just for storage not when they colonize? Is the temperature the same as for brf cakes colonization?


How soon can i expect grow from a print, like 1 week?

It’s because 40g wet is approximately 4g dry. It’s the same amount of mushroom, give or take a small margin.

Yeah I just realized that right after I posted. I deleted it immediately after. I just realized that if I'm eating for a grams dry it probably was 40 G to start out with

Dehydrated mushrooms usually weight 10 times less than wet.
1g dry = ~10g wet

I store blank plates at room temp:

You should be colonizing at room temperature as well. Cold storage is for halting growth, and incubators aren’t necessary.

Depends on the print. Anywhere from a few days to several weeks is within the realm of normalcy

Could somebody please help and direct me to where the instructions are for resizing images?

And how do we get the images in our signature to post side by side instead of one on top of each other  making the signature really long?

See how my pictures in my signature below are on top of each other instead of side by side

On PC or Phone?

For images side by side i belive it is "image align=left" in []

First timer and my some of the shrooms veils started to break before I was ready ha. So I picked all the ones that broke and also ones that had veils that looked like they were going to break soon, then I left the rest. Am I supposed to mist indirectly even though first flush isn't done or do I wait until I harvest the rest? Second question- since I wasn't fully prepared and didn't have a dehydrator I'm doing the fan in the oven (oven not on) can I keep the mushrooms in bunches or I should individually separate them and spread them out?

Oh :lol:  the first pic I responded to looks dry.  Poor surface conditions.  You can see it with the bruising as well.  The yellowing could be dried metabolites.  Nothing too concerning.  Give it a light misting.  See if that helps

Am i loosing these? I've noticed some discoloration kind of patch areas that are streaking down parts of my caps. I felt them they do feel a little slick. Are these caps rotting?

What's causing this? Or is this nothing to worry about
