Yeah that actually makes sense. Whether it works or not that's a different question.

First time (successfully) using Agar to Grain from an agar transfer I did.  S2B last Friday.  I love how this looks, first time I've gotten to see the little whispy trees pop out like this!

chop day

A like a bit of a gamble, but turns out this guy was in fact a monokaryon! :omgawesome:

Was in doubt, but suspecting it, like expressed in this Accidental Monokaryon? thread. Went for it and mixed 1qt of Country Cock monokaryon spawn with 1qt of the only dikaryon I had ready to go, a Mystery swab sent from a member and the cross happened in a 20L tub

So new toll in the tollbox! gonna cross CC mono spawn with all the clones in the library; CC x Lucid Gates is already in the oven

Still got 1qt of the Mystery swab alone in a shoebox, pinning atm, curious to see the pheno differences

Hell yeah! I'm in no way asking for a how to or anything like that, but I wouldn't mind getting into cacti myself - is it difficult? I wouldn't think, but idk a thing about it.

If you zoom in on the top right you can see the decurrent Gill attachment. This is a feature that has presented in all the phenotypes so far.

I have a bit of experience with succulents, most of 'em live. I'm learning as I go. I had ingredients for a decent starter soil mix, should buy me a month or two to figure out wtf I'm doing. 😆
