Never had a germination plate this perfect.
:tellmeastory:
Can we say this is already a monoculture?

mcdaddydadz: you are good, you have a lot to choose from... for instance: 1st plate 12 o'clock

Looking forward to these. That one plate of the Ghost Gates didn’t quite take. Good thing I made a few. They are loving the fresh Rye. The MG as well. It’s Primordial…

Oh, those are great, D! I have to look for them, specially now that I'm getting into Pans and they eat these in 4 days... speedy bastards

Letsfly24: I don't have a link for you, I get them in the Chinese store nearby

Sweet! I can’t find them under soy cups, must be some fancy name they sell them as. I’ll continue my hunt, just Hispanic stores in my area, no Chinese. Cheers!!

Here's whats currently running in my neck of the woods...yes I know the Yellow and Golden oysters should be the same, but they came from different sources so I'm keeping them seperate until the best fruiter is found.  The X7XT3's are the first transfers after using the trench technique to remove a significant halo - they look great now.  I've still got Winecaps, Lions Mane, King Oyster, Pink Oysters and Enoki to get going here soon...looks like it's almost time to do a giant run of slants for them.

Could someone explain the different types of growth in these three plates? Would it be advised to make transfers, or are they good to keep rolling? Thanks for your time.

I have 2 plates of this JFxPE cross "Egg" that I have been trying to move away from a bacterial contamination, both look the same, and I don't like the look of them.

Any opinions on if it's worth continuing to keep transferring, I was considering with this plate taking another transfer from the 9 o'clock position or do you think I should just toss them in the rubbish?

Edit: I already have a jar inoculated with this cross from a clean plate, and another swab, it's not a do or die situation. I just wanted another jar or 2.

If your previous transfer plate looks better I would do a single transfer of that. IF you really want to advance this particular plate than I would agree that 9 o-clock would be your best bet but I would probably only do a single transfer since there seems to be alot going on in that plate

Thanks CocaineBuffet I appreciate your input

I'll go ahead with a single transfer from this plate, previous plates had that bacterial halo and I tossed them long ago.

In hindsight I should of tried the trench technique about 3 transfers ago.

Hi, beginner to agar just looking to get some extra eyes on my first "successful" plates.  I have made 5 of these no-pour containers, just wondering if people think they're ready to transfer, if they're looking healthy and anything else I might need to think of.  Is this OK or am I just cultivating trich?  Should I make some plates and transfer?  They look ok to me but not rhizomorphic so not sure if I've screwed up.  They're meant to be JMF.  Cheers!

I recommend not taking pictures with a textured surface behind your plates like that counter top your plates are on, and TBH I would also recommend petri dishes and pouring your plates or finding a container with better clarity for your no pours.

However, despite the poor quality pictures, I feel I can say I do not think you have what you were hoping to grow on those plates.

On the bright side, you grew something and I think you have some beautiful looking trich there.
