I your going to use live tissue or mycelium, dip it in peroxide befor you transfer it to the petri.

It can also be OGG-agar witch is especially for yeasts and moulds, I use it it is a little yellow looking...

Am currently playing with this stuff, trying to save my Thai

EntheoGenesis No. 442

10 grams amaranth flour
10 grams brown rice flour
10 grams potato flour
10 grams soy flour
2 grams malted barley
9.5 grams agar
500 mL distilled water

you can find this and other good agar repices at www.stainblue.com under 'the psycedelic kitchen'
