I shoot liquid into plastic bags. Lost countless lbs of grain learning. But now I have high success rates and spawn4days.

I have low level fungus gnats and mites in my fruiting room like 100% of the time, but with my IPM practices there are minimal issues and only extremely slight reduction in yields so Im just rockin it. :shrug:

Man I just fought off a gnat problem for the first time recently and it was bothering me immensely. I was trying to squeeze a final flush out of a few substrates but ended up tossing everything and cleaning up for my mental well being lol

I saw one single gnat buzzing around a colonizing tub this week and it gave me flashbacks.

I don't see them anymore these days, strategic breaks in the tub cycle helped me immensely. But I still find the little gnat-holes in a few of my caps now and again, so I know the little fuckers are still creeping around.

That’s about when I started seeing them for the first time ever.

I’m stumped as to where they come from, given that they have to have been already living nearby.

I just discarded some old coir that been stored in a sealed 5gal
bucket and used it to repot some house plants. And the next day I started seeing them around those very plants, and only those ones.

Both of these kill and also prevent future infestations. Add a dunk to your sprayer and keep your room smelling nice and worry less..

And dont keep around moldy tubs, theyre attracted to the penicillium and aspergillus that forms on stumps. A nice clean cut harvest helps too..

I didn’t see any signs of mold and always cut close with a sharp utility knife :shrug:

Think my coir theory hold any weight? I hadn’t seen a single one in weeks until I repotted some plants in like maybe month old coir/verm, and they were only active in the small room those plants are in

Damn smelly just use the scalpel I’ve only used a loop for a spore syringe mostly just use prints or swabs.

I confess... Made my own loop because i didnt want to wait for the real one to arrive. To his credit hes been a real champ and hasnt fucked up a transfer yet. I just love it how it "scoops". Maby ill love the scalpel more when i get one.

Seems like 99% of people in shroomery mushcult use the Bucket Tek. I do not and for saying this they call me arrogant cause i dont have pictures of my own mushrooms here. The mycoforum of my country just got their proof of shroomerys hostility. I do like it here though becaus of the agar. The archives are valuable.

What works works ;-) I also used to use a loop with my exacto knife. But since I've got my scalpels I don't even use a loop anymore.
