I like your righteous anger, and I hope you get better quickly. thanks for being a responsible member of society and doing your part. It's nice to see someone who's angry for good reason. A lot of the people who come in here complain about how a tiny shot like it's the holocaust, and they don't give two shits about the people they hurt. The dude you fought tooth and nail for might end up on disability anyway, but I suspect he'll have an unfriendly work environment to come back to after putting 2 other people in the hospital for no good reason, and I can't blame anyone for being angry. JSB is a kindred spirit with that guy though, so don't take his utter lack of compassion too personally.

It is likely fairytale thinking. Though if a higher percentage of people were vaccinated and kept up on it community spread would be lessened

It will absolutely come to that some people are only going to get it when they get there ass beat. It dosnt matter to them who they hurt or kill.

It’s pretty clear that community spread with an r0 over 1 is being maintained by unvaccinated people. If you’re vaccinated or previously infected, you need a much larger exposure to get infected. Vaccinated people also shed much less virus because they generally do not get virus replicating in their lungs, only in the upper respiratory tract, so there’s a a lot less coughing and therefore a lot less virus gets spread around.

I think getting your ass beat, for costing many people money and 2 people besides yourself a large hospital bill, one still being hospitalized on oxygen likely having permanent lung damage if they live is more than fair.

It's not about ideology at this point it's about causing harm. You are on a harm reduction site, if you can't grasp that simple concept why are you here? How do you even spin this like a vaccine is an idea and not something human kind has been using to protect itself for years?

They may be but I can confirm if I didn't have the flu I would have likely been fine. I'm vaxed and shared an office and have been exposed multiple times for hours on end and didn't test positive.

I meant the borris johnson thing as a slight. I met a brit while traveling a while back and felt the need to apologize for trump, and he said it was okay because you guys elected boris johnson. He seems like a total cunt, though he's smarter and more competent than trump, but america always does it bigger and better. still working on learning british swearing. see if you can figure out how they swear in canada and report back. pretty sure it's a closely guarded secret.

British swearing is great - everyone loves a British accent I've found; especially a Cockney/London one, probably cause it's the most common in movies - but it aint got shit on Australian swearing; that stuff is pure heaven.

It’s a numbers game. Every infectious viral particle has a tiny chance of causing infection. It takes you having thousands of viruses in your body to even have a slight chance of getting infected if you’re unvaccinated. If you’re vaccinated it takes 5-25x more virus to have the same chance, because most of the viruses get destroyed before they have a chance, and when infection does occur, most of the infected cells get destroyed before they start releasing their replicated virus. PCR tests do not tell you if the viral rna is from intact and infectious virus or viral debris. Most vaccinated people who test positive are not infectious. The PCR test is just picking up degenerate viral debris or virus that has collect in the nasopharynx from the environment because they are in close contact with someone shedding virus.

Ranked from most amount of transmission to least
Unvaccinated >>> unvaccinated
Unvaccinated >>> vaccinated
Vaccinated >>> unvaccinated
Vaccinated >>> vaccinated
