Natzism? Maybe the "powers that be" have crunched the numbers and have come to the conclusion -as if it requires experts or a supercomputer to realise- that the world's population has to be reduced to a sustainable level or our entire species will inevitably suffer the consequences as we deplete the earth's ability to sustain all life. The ability of states to maintain law and order during that process is, therefore, maybe, understandable.

I Would rather live in a sustainable world of a billion than a destroyed world of 7/8/9...Maybe we should all enter a lottery to see who wins.
