It actually has absolutely fucking nothing to do with what party you are. I see Democrats and Republicans both having anti-vax claims. I myself don't consider myself democrat or republican but I'm against the covid vaccine at least for myself. It is probably just a coincidence that there seems to be more Republicans in the media talking about anti-vax claims compared with democrats. The majority of people in the USA are unvaccinated.

The whole vaccine thing and Democrats versus Republicans is just another way to divide the country. The fact of somebody wanting or not wanting the vaccine is not a political thing it is a personal thing.

When a good friend of mine found out that I most likely will never be getting this vaccine she assumed I was right leaning or conservative. I'm neither one of those things. The whole politicization of this pandemic is absolutely bullshit. It should have never been turned into a political affair. I don't really want to get into conspiracies in this thread but I'm pretty sure the politicians politicized the pandemic so they can make money off of it.

Its interesting

Regardless of if we are in a pandemic, if it's killing people, and if the vaccine works, people are getting filthy rich.

No ad revenue needed, everyone gets it, everyone can afford it

That's just one aspect of the profits generated from the pandemic. (Again, not intended to be a debate on conspiracies or the tragedy of the pandemic, just noting a fact that much like a war, the pandemic has been hugely profitable)

The spike protein is only one of a number of possible mechanisms. You’d know that if you read the paper.

This reaction is very rare according to this data, and far far more rare than the rates of myocarditis caused by covid infection. That is as high as 15% of infections in younger people.

If you want to avoid myocarditis, get vaccinated.

This is what your paper says:

The fact that vaccine induced myocarditis is far more common after the second dose leads one to believe that it is not caused directly by the spike protein.

I am not against the vaccine for you or anyone else, only for me, I need all of you to get it to protect me, I don't want to take it and risk myocarditis, when all I have to do is all of you take it and risk myocarditis so that way I don't risk getting exposed to covid again.

But just so everyone else is clear, the risk of myocarditis after covid is thousands of times more likely than after the vaccine. That should definitely be part of the risk assessment.

This morning I was a lot less sick than yesterday morning. While not covid, I think, my thought is that the immune training of the vaccines and the supplements had something to do with my rapid immune response.

Does that apply to everyone or only people who haven't gotten the vax?

I've seen a lot of useless comments that don't add anything from people who are for the vax.

Personally I prefer bringing most articles or data here to see what the response is from people who are for the vax. It's a lot easier to debunk misinformation or hear alternative information that overrides an anti vax claim by people here who have spent more time energy and research into why the vax is safe and effective and have more info in general on other things related to covid and the vax

Am I not supposed to be posting any of the links or info I see or bringing up opinions or points of my own on things happening ?

I do appreciate hearing the rebuttle to anti vax data etc and seeing information that encompasses all aspects of what's going on and not just why you should get vaxed.

Makes it easier to make an informed decision.

And especially when lots of new and relevant information is coming out as things progress and we assess effects and variants etc

Obviously if this thread were to no longer allow information or perspectives from all directions then my participation would be pointless. Since I am trying to gather the larger picture and not just one sided information. That goes for either side.

I think a few people in this thread are doing any random person who might come into this thread a favor by even responding to badldman and insidemygarbage.

Some numbers from the Netherlands

This is about people under 40 years of age (Im one of them)

We make up 47% of the total population of around 18 million

Those of us who died from Covid make up 0,8% of the total Covid death toll

If we contract Covid, there is an 0,5% chance of us ending up in the hospital with a 0,06% chance of ending up in the ICU

So if everybody under 40 would contract Covid at the same time, there would be 5076 people in the ICU. This is more than our ICU capacity can handle but obviously this is an unrealistic scenario.

Lets say all people under 40 get infected once over a two year timespan and stay in the ICU for a month, this would average out to 212 ICU patients a month, less than 1/7 of our current ICU capacity.

Normally only around 70% to 75% of ICU beds are occupied anyway.



Because actual infections are actually higher than the confirmed infections that these numbers are based on, the real percentages are even lower. As you move lower in age the numbers go down even more.



Percentage of vaccinated people over 40 is around 88% here. So using a vaccine effectiveness of 75% against ICU admittance, well over 6 million of those 9,5 million people are protected.

So thats 3,5 million people with a 0,5% to 1,5% chance of requiring ICU admittance IF they contract Covid. Worst case scenario, they all contract Covid over a two year timespan and spend a month in the ICU, thats 2200 patients a month.

Maybe we should use some of those billions spend locking down people and the economy on expanding Covid ICU capacity. If we can double Covid ICU capacity we can disregard all covid measures.

And dont tell me, it takes years to train ICU nurses. I hear caring for ICU Covid patients is fucking monotonous and boring so no need to get the full training either.

But the government wants me to take a vaccine and use a mandatory app for visiting a restaurant

Why?
