That order is completely ignored in vaccinated only spaces. Non need to wear a mask when everybody else is vaccinated. Covid isn’t a problem for the vaccinated and DC doesn’t have any problem with our hospital capacity.

The only reason vaccinated people have to wear masks is to protect the unvaccinated.

Masks will again be required indoors in D.C. beginning Saturday, Mayor Muriel E. Bowser ordered, in a reversal of recent policy driven by new federal guidelines that recommend indoor masking in areas where coronavirus transmission is high.

The new requirement, which Bowser (D) announced Thursday, will apply to vaccinated and unvaccinated people over the age of 2.

“I know D.C. residents have been very closely following the public health guidelines and they will embrace this,” she said at a news conference.

Come on Koods make sure to wear your mask around all your vaccinated buddies don't disobey don't be anti science.

Not true. If you’re vaccinated you are protected against serious disease. The people who are getting sick and vaccinated are old and sick already. They know that.

If I’m indoors around potentially unvaccinated people I’ll wear a mask. I’m not going to be wearing a mask in vax only spaces unless they are enforcing the rule.

We should have mask free vax only spaces and that’s the way I’m living. If you don’t like it that is your problem. Get vaccinated and stop complaining about what other people do. You infected your entire family because you’re reckless and irresponsible. Don’t lecture me about any of this shit:

Do the right thing koods, and report any business that is allowing people to be there without a mask, vaccinated or un vaccinated, the right thing to do is report them and have their business shut down.

Me and my family got better without any negative effects and are now better protected than if we had gotten the vaccine.

If they enforce the mask mandate at vax only bars I probably won’t go.

Vax only spaces should be mask free. No need for masks.

Masks are for protecting the unvaccinated

I now know two vaccinated people who were in close contact with covid patients (like having sex with them) and they didn’t get infected. The vaccine isn’t perfect but it still prevents most infections and the infections that do occur are mild. The only reason covid is still a problem is because of the unvaccinated. I’m moving on. My area has high enough vaccination rates that we won’t be having outbreaks that stress the hospital.

Get vaccinated and move on with your life people. I have no problem wearing a mask in a retail establishment. Who cares. I’m not going to wear a mask in a vax only bar. I won’t go to a non vax only bar. Fortunately in DC all the gay bars and all the nightclubs are now vax only.

the gay community is fairly anti mask now. We have extremely high vaccination rates (95%) and are pretty fed up with dealing with people who won’t protect themselves.

Israel only has about 9 million inhabitants and they have more people in the hospital than the Netherlands which has twice the population.

But I fully agree with you that us young ones shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by a few old people dying from Covid

The Netherlands has a higher vaccination rate than Israel and people in the Netherlands have been vaccinated more recently

Wow man, how old are you? You're rolling eyes like a spoiled teenager and suggesting you did a good thing by infecting your whole family. You should feel shame, or at least some embarrassment for that attitude.


Also, you'd be better protected if you had gotten the vaccine, and all the research shows that if you bother to actually read any of it, and you'd still be better off getting it. It's also pretty myopic and arrogant of you to just assume you're all completely healthy just because you aren't aware of any lasting damage. hopefully none of you end up with kidney problems down the road, or any of these other nasty new long term effects that keep getting published.

People need to learn how to study studies & research research....added emphasis on understanding the inclination to jump to conclusions and take things out of context and how that leads to confusion/delusion.

Who interprets the data and how they do so and the resulting “suggestions” (and what that suggests about the aforementioned person’s world view, biases, and educational background) formed by doing so matters greatly.
