Haha, are you suggesting pouring plates in the oven rather than using a flowhood or a SAB??

Dont tell me what to do, this is a cultivation forum and I love to discuss it. If you can't compete on the marketplace of ideas then fuck off. If you will look back on your thread I offered plenty of explanation and certainly wasn't bullying you. In fact I was joking around with you and your meme and then you got defensive and mad and I had to whip the shit out of you. I help a lot of people and I don't mind spanking out of line punks so occasionally we will run into a problem like this. I know many of you enjoy my technical experience so I don't get upset when a hater pops up. I'm not here to impress anyone just talk shit about growing shrooms.

Then use your oven.

Toaster ovens are way smaller and energy efficient. Preheat a whole oven for some dishes? Sure if it's all you've got. I use my toaster oven more than my oven soI don't heat up my whole house for some taquitos.

Why come to a thread just to be a dick?

I’m thinking about switching to glass to cut down on plastic waste.

Once you sterilize in the oven wrapped in foil, can you store them longer term in a ziploc until you’re ready to pour?

How long do you think is too long to let them sit before pouring?

Hi Sandman, sorry about the hater. Kinda like getting the crabs.

I let my plates sit in the SAB a few days, still wrapped in foil
and got a higher contam rate. That was one time so not a lot of
data, but I don't have a problem sterilizing the plates, sterilizing the agar,
and pouring in one day. It fits nicely together as the day progresses.

The best part about glass plates is feeling like there's no resistance to
burning through plates, they just come and go.

I bought a small tote just to store sterilized "foil sleeves" until use and another with gaskets to store poured plates, but a ziplock could work just fine too. Make sure it's cooled off enough before putting it in there! :cool:

Haha of course. Thanks for the tek and the storage advice. I’ll probably give this a try in the next couple of weeks.

I ordered 10 cheap glass Petris but the quality leaves something to be desired. The gaps are big and the lid sizes are all over the map. Some sit flush to the bottom. Others are closer to the plastic plates. I was trying to avoid spending the $$ on Pyrex/Corning brand, but I’ll soon see if these issues are a big enough deal to live with or not.
