The problem here is that he would even suggest it. 

Obviously, there is no "official" way of delaying an election, as it has never happened before in history and he lacks the legal authority to do so.

Announcing your desire to delay the election by floating it on Twitter is as official as it gets with this administration. He's a reality TV star, not a legal scholar. FFS

If Trump had expressed desire to delay the election on TV or maybe Facebook, THAT would be a big deal.

But since it was just a tweet, it's no biggie and media is totally just overreacting.

Trump doesn’t have the authority to do a number of things he’s gone ahead and done. I agree that the elections are run by the states, and in this case it would be difficult to get states to follow his demands, doesn’t mean we should ignore his fascist tendencies

Ohhh okay, since Trump has been an idiot his entire life, it's all a big nothing burger.

Everything he has said for the last four years has been so incredibly stupid, that him saying stupid things isn't even the problem anymore.

The REAL problem is everyone else—all these people who are continuing to react to the President saying stupid things.

The problem isn't that we have an idiotic President who has been saying stupid shit daily for four years.

The real problem isn't Trump's continued failures and stupid remarks.

I see. Trump gets to say what we he wants and when it’s not convenient having to defend his words, we’re just not supposed to take him seriously. This is becoming a theme with trump defenders. It allows you to believe whatever you want to believe.

I’ll be the first to say that most of what comes out of trumps mouth is total bullshit (he’ll be signing a vey inclusive health plan as early as Sunday 🤦‍♂️) but even his bullshit reveals a lot about him, whether it be his willingness to lie about ANYTHING or his belief that our elections are subject to his whims.

I am almost 100% sure the Trump will win the next presidency. Let me tell you he has a way of speaking. This is coming from a person that does not particularly like Trump for wanting to win but when I compare him to the other candidates I believe almost everything any other candidate has running for them is wanting to run against Trump and all of their policies being geared towards running against Trump. The list of candidates this year to me sucks almost more than I've ever seen before if that's even possible. Now like I am saying to me it's really obvious that nobody is going to be able to beat Trump because his supporters are fanatical any place them right into his hands. If any candidate up there had some really good policy that stood out on their own it wasn't simply some policy stand out against Trump is the opposite policies I would think Biden or one of these other people would win. To me it's non-existent. To me it's just not logical. Not likely. Not plausible. For that matter not even practical. There's something so practical about the way Trump practices his tyranny. Tell me all you really have to do just continue to say that everything he has done has been for some purpose. Whether it's a real purpose or not or just as usual b******* of being a tyrant I'm kicking out every Mexican disagreeing with every single person I'm talking about the death penalty an opposing anybody that ever tried to be important besides him is just beyond the point. He caters to people less intelligent than he is and he's not even really that intelligent himself. But then again who says you have to be a smart person to be president of the f****** United States? He's going to win I just know it. Who else is going to win? Biden? Bernie Sanders? They are both older than he is they need hearing aids and have dementia. Well they have more liberal policies and cater to the liberal crowd the back of people feel safe with Trump he's a tyrant everyone wants he will stomp on anyone. If I didn't hate the motherfuker so much and know what an evil person he is taking his daughter is hot s*** hating every Mexican supporting the death penalty like no other etc etc etc I would love him. It's going to be tough because everyone thinks he's going to lose Florida but man he just went to Florida today and won the hearts and minds of millions of people.

I am about 99.99% sure that he is going to kill this s*** during the election and would almost bet $1000000 on it. Anyway don't quote me later on although I'm sure everyone will either way because I don't have an investment on whether he wins or not I personally don't think it's going to change this country. But otherwise I'm so damn sure if it get ready for four more years of trump.
