My original point was that trump constantly undermines public health messaging. A tweet of him wearing a mask and saying it’s patriotic doesn’t mean he also doesn’t undermine that message. He’s still undermining the mask message by saying stuff like “masks have their problems.” And it doesn’t erase the months of refusing to model and set an example for wearing masks.

Isn't this just more of a point that America is a better country to be willing to pay for things that other countries are not willing to pay for?

A strange argument considering how tough it was to get Obama care approved and on the market. Usually the US gets torn apart in the health care department for being way too expensive. Why do pharmaceuticals need to charge for medicine? Why does the US have to float the bill when other countries won't pay such high costs?

He said on record that he recomends wearing one. That you could use something else to cover your face, such as scarves. And effectively tweeted out a psa to wear masks and that he in fact wears one, and to you that's not doing anything and undermining public safety and messaging

That is not contradicting my claim he undermines messaging about wearing mask. You first have to have a positive message before you can undermine it.
