have never had anyone refer to them as a problem for such
moreso for eating chickens, goats, cats, rabbits

an actual dog like a Doberman, Rottweiler or even a Lab scares me more on an encounter tho
and have never actually seen them grouped in evening hours, they start yipping and howling around 1 am

even a lone wolf would strike me as more likely to retreat and less likely to attack than a feral dog

Back home coyotes have been known to attack people. One case a woman was attacked walking a trail. They have bred with wolves apparently too. They have been getting braver and braver every year it seems and dont g8ve a fuck about people lol.

ones around here are still more intimidated
they are near the top of the local food chain, but not imposing when something like a bear stops in

prairies are having a real problem with outbreak of wild boar
never want to encounter one of those while wandering

Am in Manitoba, they are ballooning here but worse in Saskatchewan
we have no formal numbers for Canada, but they have huge litters and nothing really fucks with them
so it just gets worse year by year

growing up in the 90s, used to know people who raised them for meat
it is fucking delicious
but they also had to have multiple dudes at the fence with rifles when the owner would go in and dump feed for them
because they would chase him all the way to the fence

arguably the ornery attitude is what makes them taste better than generic pigs
it's something that fought the whole way for its survival

that'll happen in the States before it happens up here
they are ballooning
but they were still accidentally introduced through a significantly smaller population on the land
so the base influx was lower even with roughly a similar rate of multiplication
