I'm ready to duke this out like a proper gentleman. I just shadowboxed to Glass Tiger for 10 minutes and have pre-hardened my fists with horse urine in anticipation of battle

Tonight I spent hours looking at the stars and honestly I saw so many questionable things in the sky that I got bored. I lost count. One I watched for close to an hour because it was so easy to track. we named him Fred. I asked Fred to move in a particular manner/direction several times because I felt there was a level of communication and it responded. I was having a fire with the wife and we were looking at the stars and I was telling her about this one time, you know, and as I was talking i randomly watched this one trailing light. It was just going in a straight line, came to a certain point and another started to move, then they circled around eachother and came to meet at the center like a single point/star. That little event at the end was about the size of what your thumb would amount to. Then we kept seeing one after another after another  I saw a bigger one with smaller ones trailing it. I could see super faint ones and really bright ones just lazily doing S shapes or completely reversing directions. I was tripping because I could literally pick a random light in the sky and it would exhibit all the signs of being a UFO. The skies above my house are very very clear. I've seen a lot of weird shit. Every year. This year is different. Night and day different. The last few years I could stay up all night and be happy I saw one good one and I literally saw possibly hundreds of phenomenon over the course of a few hours. I know what satellites and planes and the ISS are. These things rapidly change speed and direction at a high altitude with varying sizes and emitting various colours. I've never felt more like I was living Truman Show than seeing all those lights in the sky watching me. Seriously. And I'll tell you something. Even if there's a Space Force. We don't have that many

thats dope

I keep magically turning into a pumpkin at 9 and passing out lately. I don't like it :nonono:.

Yeah I agree dogs are probably more sketchy.

Eastern coyote are 30-50lbs. They're hybridized with dogs. People mistake them for wolves. Saw one about 15 years ago sniffing and checking out the path my dad and bro just walked down. It was eerie. Something in it's movement just said "not a dog." Wasn't scared exactly but uneasy.

There's also the constant threat of rabies. Any animals acting unusually puts me on edge. Luckily almost all such encounters were just unusually curious or ballsy critters.

I think it's wise to be aware and take some basic precautions, especially if you have little dogs.

The eastern coyotes around here are bigger than German Shepherds. They're very pretty, and very big, and very wolf like. I've only ever actually seen one lone animal, and idk if the ones that get that big actually even run in packs.

Good morning Pubbers.
Neighbor keeps texting me about a sick fox in our parts.  It’s mangy and creeping her out.  :goodmorning:

Should I call animal control?  I never know what to do in these situations.  For instance, Last time I found a dying deer I left it to go and get a strong pain killer and salt to allow it to die in comfort and ease.  But when I came back to where I left it...it was gone:eek:

 Local wildlife rehabbers are awesome and usually a good place to start. They'll at least be able to tell you whether it's possible to even potentially help it, whether you should call animal control, if there's a local or semi-local person that rehabs foxes specifically, if you should cut your emotional losses, etc.

Depends on if it is "just" a mangy dirty fox or has mange
actually, no, prolly worth calling animal control either way if she is worried about it?
how urban/suburban/rural are you
if it has mange it can maybe spread it to pets so they will pick it up and deal with it
if it is just dirty they may just rerelease it elsewhere or zoo it depending on how human exposed it is

apparently we have a storm front coming through
but it is supposed to get real hot first
which makes me dread tornadoes all the more than regular storms

staying up a bit longer this morning to take the dogs out so they get some exercise today
as the evening may likely be outside the realm of possibility

hope all you beautiful Shroomerites have a great day

Hope you guys have basements/cellars at least. Even a category 0 tornado touching down is big news here, but we at least can retreat underground if need be.

I always thought it was cruelly ironic that the part of the country subjected to the most severe tornadoes was also a section with no basements. Sucks dude.

we have a good basement
if not so lazy/resistant to change/not wanting to fill every stereotype
would already have moved down there and taken it over
instead just disconnect my computer and my vidya games and vaporizers and haul them to the basement as soon as it looks time to bug out

Yeah seriously wtf!!!

:judyfacepalm:

My family in Michigan all got basements and they get like 1 tornado every million years, but we get like dozens of them annually, some real big fuckers too, and we ain't got no storm cellars.
