What have you used/prefered to take with mushrooms?

Hi, Im just wondering If there is anything you have used with mushrooms that help or change the expeirence in some kind of good way. Feel free to name anything that comes to mind but the main thing Im looking for is something to help with nausea, or just make the expeirence overall better. The things Im aware of are syrian rue, and papaya enzymes. How does the papaya enzymes help has anyone tried this and have any info. to share on it? what else could help nausea?

Try the Entho forum for syrian rue and papaya info.  Aside from that, pot is wonderful while shrooming.  Oh, yeah, watching the film "Waking Life" while shrooming should be a requirement :wink:  Have fun!

i alwasy have lots of strong beer or malt liquor with my shrooms. Seems to help me :laugh:
Also some mellow ambient music can be very calming while tripping.

I have this great theory on this subject..

It's really quite useful, since anyone can take this advice.

The thing you use during mushrooms should be something you take so often that your body has adapted to it and considers it a part of itself.

Or in other words,

If you smoke pot daily, smoking pot will probably take the anxious edge off a mushroom trip.

If you don't smoke often at all, it will probably make your trip REALLY INTENSE and freak you the hell out.

Anyway syrian rue is FUCKING amazing, or rather it letys the true potential of the shrooms shine through.



As fo Cannabis, if I dont have a good supply of quality (FLUSHED, non chemy) cannabis, I will put of tripping.

I like smoking a joint or 2 right when I start feeling pretty ripped , a little bit of cannabis during the trip if I can manage(i.e 7 grams of grain grown shrooms :smile: )

and some cannabis at the end.

Cannabis and Mushrooms are like swiming and water.\

I dont SWIM unless I have water.

I'm with Psilocybeingzz on that one. For me there is nothing worse than comming down from shrooms and not having some bud.

I didn't want to start a new thread: How do Xanax and shrooms do? Are they cool or does the Xanax take away from any effects of the mushrooms? The most we would do (my friend and I) is probably like a half bar to take away any anxiety.

I would never pop those unless I am having a REALLY bad trip.

Those things are fucking dangerous, not to mention a shitty "high" if you can call be medicated a high.

Yeah we would only consider it (1/4 or a 1/2 bar, not even a whole pill) if we started to get a lot of anxiety or something. I am not planning on combining the two... just think I'm "willing" to combine them if I feel too anxious. Does it take away any of the shrooms effects or lessen any of them? Thanks in advance.

Small dose of Ephedra. Gives me a clear and happy(total bliss) trip. I'm not sure if it really is the ephedra, I think set and setting were more important. Nice placebo though :smile:

Tums helps for the nausea in my opinion, settles the stomach.  Just take two right after you eat your mushrooms...take with Orange juice :smile:

I like to drink some beer while I come up. It seems to help relax me. I have used tums before and I don't know how well they worked I think they just made it take longer for my stomach to digest the mushies. However whenever somebody feels sick I try to get them to take tums and water it does ease the stomach problems a bit. I once took grapefruit juice right before a trip because I read that they found in scientific studies that taking grapefruit juice before you injest any kind of drug is supposed to make the effects of the drug stronger and even dangerous to some extent. Apparently it's supposed to prevent your body from producing some chemical that helps break the drugs down. Well to make a long story short, I had a hell of a trip. I think the juice really worked however I also felt uneasy in the stomach area. I think there is a link to the grapefruit juice thing is some archived thread on the shroomery, however it may be on the lycaeum, I'll see if I can find a link.

XanaX does not take away from the shrooms..this past weekend i took two bars and ate shrooms, my trip was great, didnt have any side effects...i had a damn good time..
