Hack pharmacology of the grapefruit:

When the liver gets a grip on your drug (or almost all drugs) it modifies (oxidizes) the drug to detoxify it. Something in grapefruit juice appears to gum up at least one of the detox pathways. I've seen talk of this in a few places now, but nobody knows all that much aboot it.

So yeah, although I haven't thought about it before, I'll be damned sure to take some grapefruit (with some shrooms, some pot, and some raisins) on the camping trip this weekend.

The raisins (or even better, Glosette raisins) are to chew with the shrooms. We've been doing this for years and it allows us to munch and actually almost enjoy the flavour.
