guided meditation

can anyone suggest any guided meditation tapes or CD's? i own a tape that is narrated by someone from india and it does the trick, but ive listened to it at least 100 times so i need something new.

sit in your bath-tub. lower your head so your ears are just under the water, and listen to your heat and breath. try breathing all different ways, it sounds cool and its relaxing, and you can also control your heart-beat by breathe and thats fun to do.

i meditate rarely, really. do it for relaxation of mind, and to pay attention. hehe, paying attention, sounds easy enough, no?
can anyone give me an answer for "why meditate?"
seriously, why do you do it. relaxation? focus?...enlightenment?

hehe, what a joke, enlightenment. i dont think anyone ever has been fully enlightened. what i think is that "enlightenment," using the term loosely, never stays(or goes away), its something thats possible to be realized in flashes only, i think. ok, sorry for rambling.

to answer your question about the music, try meditating to your favorite music, whatever it is.

I have a mp3 with Rev. Thich Nhat Hanh guiding a ten minute meditation. Only problem is I don't know where I could host it. Anyway if you're interested in having it just PM me.

Lama Surya Das has a good lecture on Dzogchen (nondual Buddhism) followed by a guided meditation called the 'Natural Perfection'.

This is how I do most of my meditation. You can also control blood flow to diffrent parts of the body.
