I think most, if not all Daturas are plants that dies and grows new from seed every year.
But maybe you can get one to live 2 seasons if you have it inside during winter.

The similar plants Brugmansias live many years if i remember correctly.
And many Brugmansias have same or stronger alkaloids then Daturas.
There is even tree Brugmansias.
The trumpets are huge, beautiful and smells strongly.
Here is a Brugmansia i saw in Portugal last summer.

Very nice pics. Yeah. I have grown brugmansia before but never really experimented with it. I grew brugmansia sanguinea. It had yellow and red giant trumpets. But it never produced seedpods. The flowers would just drop off without been polinated. I even tried using a small paint brush to polinate them but that didnt work either.
My current datura is in its second year looking healthy and good. Do you think i could get another year growing?

I have no idea if your datura plant grow another season.
But why not try it.
If you are lucky and the plant will continue grow it will get huge in next season as it don“t need to start from seed.
