Found in a grassy field at a park. North Eastern US.

The stem

Pan foe will have lines that run straight up and down while pan subbs lines will spiral around the stem.

I like to look at the stipe. The way it's mushed up and folded in on itself with an almost transparent, reflective sheen is what you'll see on p. foenisecii. P. cinctulus will have a much firmer stem with darker tones
